Nothing can be as bad as that board. Five guys arguing back and forth, day after day about the same topic. It almost makes me long for the days of Jeff Braswell and Bumblebee. The days when CR had the in-state rivals board were great. Clone fans arguing that J Billups was a better safety than Bob Sanders:biglaugh: and Hawk fans saying Brad Banks was a better overall QB than Seneca.

Any hawkeye fan will tell you that this isn't just a bowl game, it's a JANUARY bowl game. The fact that it's two unranked teams playing each other isn't important - it's still a JANUARY bowl game.
Seriously, if the rules were reversed they would of spent just as much time ignoring ISU's bowl while focusing on the coaching change in Iowa.
Anyone else remember all the time the news spent 4 years ago, breaking the news that KF was not going to the NFL? If they can spend that much time for a coach not leaving, I think they can cover ISU's coach changing.

And what you would not give to have ISU there. It amazes me how clone fans like to belittle the Hawk accomplishments to make themselves feel better. If memory serves me correctly ISU has never played in a New Years bowl.
Some of this is due to the tie-ins the Big Ten has with bowl officials. Let it also be known that January bowl games aren't what they used to be anymore. They don't carry the same weight they once did.

Looks to me like both conferences have 3 January bowl tie-ins.
I know the Big 10 got an 8-4 and 5-3 team in a January bowl, oh wait Nebraska has the same record so forget that argument as well.
