World Herald reporting he's been offered - hasn't accepted. Sounds like Altman is taking his assistants with him to Oregon. GMAC will take Crawford because he played in the Valley, and may take Nurse. Nurse has no real attachments in DSM. His family is in Carroll, and his son lives in Texas with his ex-wife.

This is a blessing in disguise if actually is true. I loved the hire of Nurse and Grayer but fact still remained that GMac never built stability here at ISU. We could never fall in love with this program when never knew who was staying around. I know world of college basketball has this happening all over but not to the extent of what's happened here at ISU. I never wanted to hire GMac based on knee jerk reaction what KState was thinking and thought we did. If he leaves, this is another gut blown to the knads like Cale leaving but fact is Clone fan, would you have liked to endure another 4 years of .500 ball or below as never felt was going to compete for top 4 spot in Big 12 with GMac.
Like I've posted in the past about possible candidates, now one is off the list in McCaffrey but still feel need to reach out to Todd Bozeman at Morgan St(former Cal coach in 90's), or Mike Davis at UAB(fall guy when Knight left).

I'm not sure its worth 2 cents. If jamie decided he couldnt afford to fire Greg, what was he going to say? "we suck, but we cant afford to fire him?" yeah, that's a plan. you've gotta at least remain outwardly positive if you're JP.

That article wasn't even worth 1 cent. It was worth about as much as the frozen dog poop in the winter that you accidently step on; it doesn't do much damage, but it still sucks.

What a friggin great way to start a Monday morning! In the short term this is probably pretty disastrous as far as the possibility of actually getting wins this year. Hope we don't see immediate decommits. But in the long term this is great, and if nothing else it will re-energize the fan base because let's face it, the vast majority wanted McD out and this is about the only way it was going to happen.
