UNI Was Just Better......Tonight

Your anger is causing you to have terrible punctuation.
Quite to the contrary, my terrible punctuation is a product of my posting from a smart phone and my general lack of concern about my punctuation when I am mobile posting.

Also, though my post was a rant, I am not angry. I'm amused. That and I opined that Washpun is a ****, though I'm not angered by him.

It was the third game in a week where ISU played with no heart and ****** easy buckets down their legs. UNI shooting the lights out was the difference between another sleep walk 10 point victory or a loss. Play that game 1,000 times they won't win many. But it was just their night.

With Hoiberg being 1-2 against UNI and Prohm being 0-1, I'm not sure about this. Not saying you are wrong, but I'm not convinced.

I say that because I don't think this UNI team is that good. They have two great non con wins but I still think they struggle in the valley and miss the dance. People are going to soon realize this wasn't that good of a UNI team and that last Saturday was just a hot shooting mid major pulling off a very big upset.

You would have a pretty good case if that was the only big upset, but they beat UNC as well. UNC without Paige, but that team is not entirely a one trick pony. They didn't shoot out of their ***** against UNC like they did against ISU, either. Against UNC they were 11-28 from 3 for a respectable but not awe inspiring 39%.

Agreed. Carolina has 5 other McDonald's All-Americans after Paige. Its not like taking Larry Bird off of Indiana State in '79.

This loss isn't going to hurt Iowa State in any way come selection time.

UNI is going to struggle in the valley? The same team that already beat two top 5 teams in the first month of the season? The same team that went 19-2 in the valley last year and only lost Tuttle?

Who exactly in the valley are they going to struggle with? Wichita State maybe, after that? Man some of the comments are bizarre after losses.

Did you see them get handled by Hawaii last night? They have absolutely no post presence and only one guard that can break a defense down. And also "only" lost Tuttle? That's a huge loss.

Yeah, I saw it and stand by my comments. The last time I checked road games at Richmond, Hawaii, and New Mexico werent on the Missouri Valley schedule. They'll finish in the top 2 or 3 and be a bubble team, probably have to win the conference tournament at this point with 4 non-conf losses.

And I am in no ways sticking up for UNI, I witnessed that game in person and made me sick, just trying to be realistic that they are a top MVC team.

Being 3rd in the valley and having 4 non conference losses (Richmond and Hawaii being a semi bad ones) won't get it done without getting the automatic bid.

They could absolutely finish 2 in MVC but will be with prolly 6 conference losses and that won't be good enough to even be on the bubble.

Headed for a first round NIT matchup at Historic Carver ******** arena.

MVC could easily be a one bid league this year.
