I think their D is good for the Big East but not up to big 10 or big 12 standards but we shall see I guess.
They did hold Vandy to 17 Offensive pts and 259 total yards. But how good is Vandy is the question?

Vanderbilt is the Baylor of the SEC.
Hopefully the team isn't overlooking them too.
Vanderbilt is the Baylor of the SEC.
2. UConn has QB issues. That may have been obvious going into the game, considering the Huskies planned on playing three quarterbacks. But it is even more glaring now that they had such an anemic performance in the pass game in a 24-21 loss to Vanderbilt. Johnny McEntee ended up playing a majority of the game, throwing three interceptions and losing a fumble. He had for just 99 yards passing in the entire game. Coach Paul Pasqualoni said he stuck with McEntee for continuity, but there was no offense. The Huskies failed to score a touchdown on offense. In fact, UConn the last time the Huskies scored an offensive touchdown against an FBS opponent was in the fourth quarter against Cincinnati on Nov. 27, 2010.
Probably not the best comparison I think you're trying for since Baylor just beat then #14 TCU.
Alright, the Kansas of the SEC.

They also only had 193 total offensive yards
for comparison sake, we had 473 against the mighty iowa hawkeye defense last week.
398 of which came in the first 4 quarters
I have a very hard time believing the UConn defense is better than Iowa's. And their defensive coordinator is certainly not as good as norm parker.
UConn hasn't looked good. If this were a home game I'd say we have it easy.
But keep in mind we're on a short week, playing a game way out on the east coast, after a big rivalry home win. I think CPR will do his best to have the guys ready but they might be tired. This feels like a trap game to me but I'll pick the Cyclones. The -6.5 spread is mostly to get people to bite on this game.
Kansas had success for a short period. Has Vandy?
