I would respond to this but my other post on this subject was already moderated out of the thread so I'm not going to bother.

I'll just say the lack of knowledge and or experience in drug use, drug addiction, and drug culture is severely lacking here.

You were being kind of ignorant yourself. Methadone can stay in your system long enough that he very well could have thought he was fine to take the hydrocodone.

Or he has developed a tolerance and has taken this much before, it could have been his daily routine. Tons of people misuse prescription and OTC drugs with no consequences. Doesn't mean they have a death wish or that they are an addict.

Methadone can stay in your system for a week, so it's not like he was taking both at the same time.

No it doesn't make any sense. It wasn't the cocktail, it was the amount. Hydro and Methadone would be additive or breakthrough drugs to each other and prescription pill users often combine them. Using them in conjunction wouldn't necessarily kill you, using a ton of each or a ton of each together will kill you.
