Tyler Sash has died

Both sites boards have threads remembering and respecting Tyler Sash; both board have threads bashing Iowa and ISU in advance of Saturday. Not really fair to call one out over the other.
It serves my agenda. Not trying to be fair

I find the motivation argument to be complete horse manure. You're telling me they're going to try harder than normal because they've got a number on their helmet that most on the team didn't even know or see play?

If you don't think that the coaching staff won't be driving home that losing to ISU with that # on their helmets is disgraceful and would be letting a fellow fallen hok down you're crazy. I'd fire the coaching staff if they weren't doing it...it's just too perfect to let slide, especially for a team who's fans think they don't get up for this game anyway.

If Sash meant as little to this program as you claim above then they wouldn't bother with the tribute anyway.

Pretty simple. If you are a black kid from Texas or Florida with problems you are a statistic. If you are a white kid from Iowa with the same problems you are a hero. That being said I could care less if they have a moment of silence for Sash.

I refuse to believe you aren't trolling.

That is awesome. Very nice was to honor a Hawkeye great. I just hope we find a good way to honor Jackson Vroman in a similar fashion during basketball season.

Re: Tyler Sash has died?

Fortunately, most of the rest of the reaction from current and former players on Twitter have been representing with a little more class, or at least less deliberate pot stirring if that's how you wish to frame it.

Iowa State displayed an almost unbelievable amount of class this week with the way they handled Sash's (and Marble's) passing this week. Kudos to the athletic department and coaching staff. I also loved to see Iowa return the favor at the end of the game and walk to get the trophy as a team while letting ISU's players clear out.

I know we all love to sling **** at each other, especially during Hate Week, but there is clearly a lot of mutual respect between the universities and the coaching staffs.

The coaching staffs better respect each other. Not many other people respect them.
