douglas and bowman. How 'bout them hawks!

"The two are accused of stealing a from a student on their floor last May. They are accused of purchasing several thousand dollars of stuff that was all mailed to Detroit address. Police have been investigating through last week. They were arrested today."

If this turns out to be true, losing two starting wide recievers two weeks before season is a blow to their offense.:no:

Well Ferentz? What's the verdict on punishment? Suspension for the first half of the first game of the season? 5 extra laps at practice? 200 more pushups?

Will be interesting to see what happens as more facts come out.

Well since they are hawks, they were "in the wrong place at the wrong time" or "this is a non-story during a slow sports week". Nothing like those "thugs" at ISU:biggrin:

I wouldn't put much stock in this until it hits the paper.

Bad deal if true and glad it's not one of our players. Lord knows we've had our share of trouble over the years.

man it is a bad day to be a hawkeye fan...... Specially with all the posts on both HR and HN saying how the WR's were the strong point of the team. Then all threads comparing WR's at iowa and ISU. Might as well get rid of all of them too

wowserz!

Wasn't Douglas the one who saved their butts against LSU?

-keep.

If true, then the Sqwaks are playing with a green O-line, a green QB, questions at RB (if it's admittedly not the strength of their team), and now they're going without their best two WRs? Like the bumper sticker says, "It's Good To Be A Hawkeye" :nah:

If they have no offense worth speaking of now, good luck winning that Big 10 title...

Yep, they'll be suspended for two meaningless games and be back just in time to face ISU in Ames. Kirk will once again deliver a swift wrist slap to let his players know he means business.

I don't see what all the fuss is about - we're only talking about adding 2 more members to the leadership council.

We're talking about Federal Felony charges. Even Ferentz can't look the other way on those. Maybe this is the sports illustrated jinx since they just touted these guys as being the next big thing.
