TV slot for next week

No chance at Gameday in Stillwater. Florida vs South Carolina would take it (even if both would have 1 loss). I'd have to imagine Michigan vs Michigan State would probably come before OSU/ISU. LSU/A&M probably would as well.

That's good because I don't want to have to see Corso put on that Pistol Pete head.

Yep, we will. Who is that guy that predicts the Big 12 TV schedule ahead of time?

Here's the listings for 10/20 across the conference:

Iowa State @ Oklahoma State
Kansas State @ West Virginia
Kansas @ Oklahoma
Baylor @ Texas
Texas Tech @ TCU

Pretty easy to assume that KSU @ WVU will get the marquee FOX slot. I would guess Baylor-Texas would get the next best slot and ours would come in 3rd.

This is the guys's blog, he did say he wouldnt have much for 10/20 due to some personal committments and travel.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if we set a new attendance record for K-State, even with the 11:00 a.m. start. We have a record enrollment and it is parents' weekend. My sister started looking for hotels months ago and had a hard time getting anything. Now we are ranked on several polls. K-State is highly ranked and it is not that far of a trip for their fans.

One thing that concerns me is that we don't seem to have enough seating for the student section. A lot of them have been spilling out onto hillside. My son recognized several kids from his high school that he knows go to DMAAC that were sitting in the front row of the student section. They just buy hillside and then go to the student section, while actual students can't get seats.

I hope we can get out to a good start and get the crowd into it. At least 56,000 would not surprise me.

If they are in the front row, that means that they waited in line for three hours (or more) before kickoff. There were people in line at noon for the 6:00pm kick vs. Texas Tech.

It's a change in culture. You used to be able to walk in at kickoff and find a seat in the student section lower bowl. Now, the lower section is almost totally full when the stadium opens 90 minutes before kickoff. Students have to start caring more about the game than the tailgating to get a seat. (Doesn't mean that they can't do both, though!)

Another reason to do the SEZ with upper deck. Not only do we have a more interested student body nowadays, we have a larger student body, so we could use a couple thousand more seats for them.

They need to figure something out with the students. Last game we got to our seats 5 min before kick off to find some kids sitting there, we asked them to move and in typical drunk fashion 2 of them tried to start a fight with us in front my friends 2 year old.

Love to see the success and crowd's but I would like to be able to take the kids to a safe envirnoment too.

:yes::yes:
Yeah I know I shouldn't complain about national television. But selfishly I hate the 11:00 games for attendance and tailgating reasons. Oh well- if there really have been 58,000 tickets sold already next weekend will be amazing regardless.

What? ya can't drink beer before 9:00?

Or just squeezed in after someone else got there early. Plus one of then was wearing his Squawk hat. And they kept putting him on the big screen.

Should be getting the kickoff info for OSU anytime now, i think usually it comes during the 10am hour.

Apparently, one guaranteed way to get on a good network at a good game time every week is to turn your head while a perv rapes dozens of kids at your facilities. Even FCS is better than that though.

Hoping for an 11a or 2:30p on that one - our first trip to Stillwater and don't want to be heading home at 11pm...

Yeah, i'm hoping for 230. Still have to lock down hotels, though we're staying far out either way as by the time we decided to go hotels were already a mess. Have debated staying in wichita even.

We're kind of planning on Wichita. Leaving Friday afternoon and don't want to do the full 500-ish miles in one shot.

Yeah. We're looking there and ponca city. Don't want to to wichita if its a night game though.

I'm guessing if they haven't come out the times already, they're using that week as a pick 6 option.

Techinally they have till noon today to announce the Big XII games. I see they haven't announced the KU/OU game either. We are going to be in the area and were hoping for a big seperation between those two game times to see if we can take them both in. I could see them holding out for a 6 day with the OSU game, but the KU OU game will definately be made today.
