This game reminds me a lot of the Northern Illinois game as the season opener a few years back. Many were picking N Ill to win that game in Ames, but I like how the result turned out for ISU.

No, its one of those deals where we have to be consistent on the field to earn the respect off of it. We still lack that.

I get that, but we were slightly favored against Northern Illinois 2 years ago in our opener. Northern Illinois had a better team than Tulsa does this season, and ISU has a better team then they did 2 years ago.

In all reality.. in TRUE ISU fashon... our new kicker goes 1-4 and misses a game tying PAT.

UNI last year, could have/should have lost
Up 17-10 on NIU in the 4th before pulling away. Scary game though
Close game going into the 4th against NDSU
Played like garbage but thanks to 5 TO's we beat a bad SDSU team
Lost to Kent State
Needed OT and Blythe going beast mode to beat Toledo
Tied at half against Illinois State and only won by 11


I don't know if any of those teams are/were as good as Tulsa. Good thing we are better too.
