I heard Niang is going back home during the summer too. Not sure if he's coming back though.

I saw him in Boston yesterday He's either gone home. Or he's transferring to Boston College. Or he's trying out for the Celtics.

Either way. Not encouraging.

Just confirmed Niang has quit basketball to become a 'handler' for Hoiberg per a bs source I just made up.

Some people pretty close to the team have mentioned if Fred leaves, GT will not be back.....now whether he comes back for sure if Fred remains at ISU, I have not heard.....my money would be on him going pro in Europe....his best buddy was Clayton who is not coming back, no one expects him to get meaningful minutes next year, and he can make good money playing his style game in Europe now..... but I hope he comes back for a couple more years and ends up seeing some PT and being a factor at some point.
yes I hear the Spurs will sign him this week for their title run

What's this, if we lose Hoiberg we may lose Tsalmpouris too.

If we lose Hoiberg, then losing Tsalmpouris will be the LEAST of our concerns.

Actually losing Tsalmpouris isn't much of a concern, whether Hoiberg stays or not. He is a project, with probably a less than 50-50 chance of every seeing significant minutes in a Cyclone uniform. Not trying to be harsh on the kid, it's just the reality of the situation.

Losing a kid that plays in only the last couple minutes of garbage time, is not a big loss that can't be replaced IMO.

Good point. If he does choose not to come back, I hope he lets us know soon. Would than be able to target a 2nd 2016 big transfer or immediate eligible 2015 guy.

Based on what you know about him, which is almost nothing.

CloneDudes Future

If we lose Hoiberg, then losing CloneDude as a poster will be the LEAST of our concerns.

Actually losing CloneDude as a poster isn't much of a concern, whether Hoiberg stays or not. He is a project, some of his posts are good, some aren't. I don't ever see him being a must read poster and he looks just OK in a Cyclone uniform. Not trying to be harsh on CloneDude, it's just the reality of the situation.

Losing a poster that is not up to par with Bill Simmons is not a big loss, that he can't be replaced IMO.

Είναι η αρχή του τέλους ! Πρώτα Γιώργος και , στη συνέχεια, Fred ! Iowa State μπάσκετ είναι πάνω , όπως το γνωρίζουμε .

If Fred leaves, Giorgos won't be back. If Fred stays, he will be back at the end of July/early August.

Do people honestly believe that after last year's bounce out of the tournament and returning all this firepower that the Mayor will just skip town?

Of course, this is cyclone fanatic, where there's an abundance of jumping to conclusions, overreaction, stupidity, and whining about everything.
