A birthday card?! Thats just ridiculous.

It's the thought that counts in this day and age...I'd take 5 million and a card over 10 million and no card. Have to keep decorum alive somehow in this blighted time of techtrified mis-manners and cyber-hooliganism.

If he can be a Jamie Vanderbecken (sp?) type guy and play about ten minutes a game or so and hit 3s that would be awesome. If he can be better that would be more awesome!

I don't think any of us have any idea what a fair expectation for him is. He's 7'1" and can shoot and pass but he also had a ways to go physically and we haven't seen that much of him to really get a good guess on potential.

Cauley-Stein? I'd take that! But at this point he's closer to PeeWee Herman .

Pee Wee with these shoes on maybe...

Before someone misconstrues - To be clear this is only in reference to height.

Misconstrues what? Did I miss something that's not....OMG.....politically correct?

GT's problem's are 100% physical. He is putting weight on, but his upper body is much further behind his lower. I don't even know what is reasonable to expect for adding dense muscle mass on his frame with his physiology. He needs a ton of time spent on his footwork and fast twitch reflex before we're seeing him play at the Big 12 level. I'm rooting for him, but from what I've heard through out the coaching community, he may never get there physically.

Kamisnky was a non contributor for Wisconsin his first year. The Greek averaged 1.4 this year.

I don't know if people realize this but the kid turned 18 right before school this year. He's a year behind a lot of kids. As a big man he needs more time to develop strength inside to compete with others. Not easy as an 18 year old freshmen. Cripes even Embiid was 20 by the time the draft came around.

1s and 5s tend to take the longest... Monte Morris is a freak of nature, so is Georges Niang

Granted, I love "can contribute right away types," but that doesn't mean we should give up on projects

I doubt he plays much next year, but if he's still around the year after (and he might be... likes the team, the coaches, free education in America, etc.) we're going to need all the help we can have

A 7'1" guy than can shoot threes? Replicate JVB and you've got the perfect stretch 4 for Fred's offense

His height alone would be useful on defense

A tweet tonight from Giorgos.

"Heading back to Greece I'm looking at all the 900 pics and videos I took those 9 months... No doubt it was the best time of my life!!"
