Tre King (Georgetown transfer)

Did you or did you not bring up Jeff Beverly and for a second hint at Tre King potentially being Jeff Beverly 2.0?
Jeff Beverly 2.0 situation does not mean he will come in and be Jeff Beverly. There's a lot of ways to get 8 and 5. If you need help with reading comprehension there are plenty of online resources.

Nah dude. That's literally how you made it sound. You may not have intended it to sound like that but if that's the case you worded your comment poorly.

Beverly was 6'5" 255 lbs and had a defensive rating of giving up 110+ points/100 possesions

King is 6'9" 225 lbs with a 94 defensive rating.

Is he 6-9 or 6-7? I've seen both mentioned on here.

I don't expect him to come in and be the 2nd coming of Marcus Fizer, but if he can give us 5 fouls, a few rebounds/putbacks, and is a guy that can use his mid-range game on the elbows or in the short corner when teams throw a zone at us, I think he could be a good fit by the time February and March roll around. I'll leave the chemistry aspect up to TJ.

TJ is a nice guy, ISU is in a power conference doing very well and there is an abundance of playing time if he can crack the lineup. What's not to like for a recruit. This should be no surprise.

How many open spots do we have for next year then? Johnson, Foster, and Hinson are 3 spots. Then covid returners don't count against the roster spots right? So Conditt, Gabe, and Brockington's spots are open without possibly losing them? Or am I extremely confused right now?
You are somewhat cornfused. Every player on a team during the 20-21 season gets that season back (free season). Those "free" schollies do not count against the scholly limit during the 21-22 season ONLY. After this year, the players that were here in 20-21 still get the extra year, but it counts against the scholly limit.

Thus players that were freshmen in 20-21 can use that as a non-year and could potentially still be on a team in 25-26 (covid, redshirt, fresh, soph, jr, sr). Probably still competing against Jorbo too.
