Is he 6-9 or 6-7? I've seen both mentioned on here.
I don't expect him to come in and be the 2nd coming of Marcus Fizer, but if he can give us 5 fouls, a few rebounds/putbacks, and is a guy that can use his mid-range game on the elbows or in the short corner when teams throw a zone at us, I think he could be a good fit by the time February and March roll around. I'll leave the chemistry aspect up to TJ.
Exactly King doesn't have to be. ISU lost 2 potential post options in Foster and Hinson in the fall who were suppose to be contributors. Conditt is a risk for fouls, not to mention that Kunc had an injury coming into the year and judging by his play will have some worrisome falls as the season progresses. For all those reason it forced Jones into a bigger role than the staff wanted for him right now. I appreciate Roberts effort but he has some limitations that have been seen.
TJ and the staff have built a relationship with King and his family and have prioritized him. I have 0 concerns about Tre coming in and causing chemistry issues. TJ preaches playing as a team and has already shown only taking/keeping players who are bought in. Tre will have a clear role on this team one that appeals to him. I don't think it'll be as a starter but there are ~25 minutes available at the PF/C he can easily get and contribute at a B12 Level.
