Tornado Emergency Oklahoma City

I was watching when this first started out west of El Reno and it was big but mostly rural so it seemed like things might lighten up. (about an hour ago)

Turn it back to this. Dang.

no school and early evening time with a good amount of notice, hopefully everyone has time to get safe.

Just now:

KFOR chaser: "Unfortunately a lot of cars on the highway from people trying to leave town, can't really go anywhere and people are panicking".

Met that recommended everyone drive away: "Obviously you don't want to be in your car right now....."

Don't get me wrong, this guy has way more experience and authority than I, but I think you can tell from his voice now he's kind of regretting that putting that out there on the air, with such little lead time.

Just bad advice.

oklahoma city? i thought tornadoes weren't allowed to go through large metros

KFOR chaser just said police are trying to block roads because people who are trying to "leave town" are "driving right into it."
