I just heard on KXNO that Tom Manning is out at Cincinnatti and heading to the Colts. That certainly didn't last long. I guess we won't be seeing him next year.

He was TE coach during his previous stint at Indy.
Maybe NFL aligns more with career goals, but would think college OC would give him more visibility.
Steichen was Sirianni's OC in Philly, and Sirianni was the OC in Indy when Manning was last in the NFL, so I'm sure there were probably some conversations there. I think there's still some familiar faces in front office from his last stint.
Manning saw we were on the new scheduled and is ducking Heacock. Smart!!
Sheesh, look at this dude. Using powerhouses Iowa State and Cincinnati as stepping stones to the NFL. Big time.

So does that mean Brian Ferentz was pushed out/demoted when he when from the Patriots TE Coach to the Hawkeye's OC.
Sirianni and Manning were also teammates at Mount Union and those guys stick together as we have seen. I would also guess Sirianni put in a good word for Manning.
He was actually tremendously successful during his last stint in Indy with the same position. Under his coaching they had dramatically improved tight end play. I looked into it when he came back- Indy didn’t want him to leave. I hope he is successful this go around as well.
