Ha, nothing new here. That's one thing I definitely don't miss about college life in Ames.

Well it's been snowing hard for the last 4 hours or so.

I think it's amazing when they get it within a couple of inches considering that there is about 4 inches of difference just within 30 miles.

Looks like that heavy line that stretches from SW to NE is starting to change direction and move a little south and east.

Nothing reaching the ground up my way. Forecasting 1-2" in parts of NE Iowa tonight into tomorrow.

Have fun with all the snow south/central Iowa. You've had more snow this winter than we have!

For those that made it downtown for work after that mess of a commute the drive home looks to be pretty crappy too. Radar shows this thing wrapping around now. Central Iowa might be in the crosshairs for several more inches.

5 inches in Ames looks about right. Just got done scooping the drive for the 1st time thru and it was fairly deep in some spots. Saw the forecast last night and they projected .7 for Ames. Doh! Still coming down pretty good and doesn't look like it will be stopping anytime soon.
