To ISU Fans...

No I fully understand, and I know that this years football games will be brutal. I mean TX will come to Lincoln October 16th, it will be a night game, that will be a bloodbath. I realize out of town games in some towns will be fend for your car etc...

But I respect what your saying, did not come on here to flame.
 
TX can't go independent they are married to A&M and have the other short yellow bus riders of TX on their backs TT and the Bayloreina's

I think most A&M fans would be fine with going to the SEC and saying hell with texas.

on one hand we deal with infinite crap from Iowa

and the other team helped orchestrate the downfall of the Big 12

Your God hero Tom Osborne is to blame for totally destroying the budgets, sports programs, and friendship with 11 other Big XII schools . . launching a nuclear winter for college sports.

Why did Osborne do this? . . . because your beloved Huskers couldn't hang with Texas. How pathetic. I also heard at one time Osborne was a big time Christian . . so much for charity and humility on his part.

Your program will never recover the good will you are trying to seek at this horrible time for ISU and many other schools. As NU rakes in the millions . . remember, it is stolen revenue from ISU, KU, KSU, Colorado, Missouri and the rest of the southern schools. Get Lost.
 
Its not only the 22M for Athletics but the 75-100M in research and development. Being the only DIV I Univ of the state, and to support and grow and insure NU will be around because no tax money goes into athletics and is self supported. I was a smart move no only on the athletics side but too as the University as a whole.

Exactly. It totally sucks the situation we're in, but if we were to trade athletic departments with Texas or Nebraska, we'd want the same thing.

I am a Nebraska Fan , I must say if the Big XII goes away I will miss the banter between us. I sit in Sec 22 row 8 seat 1 which is across the isle from the visiting section. The Clone's fans always made the game honest and always enjoyed chatting with you, and I have shared many of golden hops with you folks before and after games. If this plays out, I wish ISU all the best. I pulled up youtube today to watch some of those great moments over the past few days. I also pulled up clips of NU's darkest days of recent during Billy C's days at NU.

Some of you may still hate the Huskers and thats ok, becasue it's out of respect and I know this.

So to you ISU and ISU fans I know we have all had out ups downs and good and bad times together, but I never have not respected ISU or your fans, so this is my message to you. Good luck to you this year, and I hope the best for your program and fans. I hope to make it to Ames this year should this be the last game.

Thanks for all the memories for the past few years sitting across from you folks, you as fans are some of the most respectful people as fans I ever met.

I agree that under normal circumstances we all would enjoy some witty, disparaging, if not friendly banter. You're just picking the wrong time to try to "cheer" us up, and it's being seen as rubbing our faces in it.

So knowing that Texas may leave at any time and is currently more or less holding the conference hostage, another more stable conference would give you 20+ million extra in revenue + research money, you wouldn't want that for your school?
 
No one should put all the blame on Nebbie, there are so many others to blame. It was almost inevitable. I dont think the XII would have remained in tact if Neb had stayed like some Tex-*** folks want you to believe. THings needed to change years ago and everyone will be better except for a few schools, like always one of those schools is ISU.
