I am a Nebraska Fan , I must say if the Big XII goes away I will miss the banter between us. I sit in Sec 22 row 8 seat 1 which is across the isle from the visiting section. The Clone's fans always made the game honest and always enjoyed chatting with you, and I have shared many of golden hops with you folks before and after games. If this plays out, I wish ISU all the best. I pulled up youtube today to watch some of those great moments over the past few days. I also pulled up clips of NU's darkest days of recent during Billy C's days at NU.

Some of you may still hate the Huskers and thats ok, becasue it's out of respect and I know this.

So to you ISU and ISU fans I know we have all had out ups downs and good and bad times together, but I never have not respected ISU or your fans, so this is my message to you. Good luck to you this year, and I hope the best for your program and fans. I hope to make it to Ames this year should this be the last game.

Thanks for all the memories for the past few years sitting across from you folks, you as fans are some of the most respectful people as fans I ever met.

Again good luck.

Crap man. You make it sound like Iowa State is closing it's doors after next season.

Well I do hate Nebraska and it isn't out of respect. It's because they are greedy people who refuse to admit the real reason for bailing out of the Big XII.

Your schools decision to chase a few million is going to leave major universities athletic programs in limbo. Enjoy Iowa and the Big 10. You guys deserve each other.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I honestly don't blame Nebraska. The root cause of the problem is insane amounts of money at stake in "amateur" sports that are loosely associated with our universities.

No I don't believe ISU is closing the doors next season, also I don't feel NU is greedy, if ISU, or KU, or KSU had the chance to do better for your school I'm sure you would have done the same thing. NU has one of the lowest student populations out of the Big XII but one of the highest TV viewing ratings in the nation. If this did not happen now, it would have 2-3 yrs down the road, and TX would have had even more power. Just some thoughts, anyway I sat accross from ISU fans for years and I wont miss KSU or CU fans or TX fans at all. So take what you wish from my orig post.

Sometimes, things are not how you perceive them.

When we beat you last year, I did not receive any warm regards from the
Bugeaters I encountered. You simply gave us the game. Nothing we did won the game, you guys decided to lose it. The arrogance was stunning and is fairly common among your fanbase.

I can't wait to get you guys back in Ames this year. I'll buy you a beer since I know that $$ is the #1 motivator for the program you support.

The Regents vote on the issue Friday, way too much smoke if there is no fire. The only smoke that came from MU was from their fan base and Orangebloods.com NU had TO on a talk show last night, you have to read between the lines, NU's BOR is voting on the issue Friday as it's on the offical agenda. So way too much smoke for no fire. MU not the same case.

Agreed. I put most of the blame on texas. Theyve done a lot of contributing to the situation that has made it so just about every big 12 north school would bail given an option. And then they go and put an ultimatum that if a specific, replacable school leaves, they're taking their ball and going elsewhere. Childish.

I know Nebraska fans are all giddy about their decision, but to every other Big XII member you come across as a greedy egotistical school that just set the end of the Big XII in motion.

I not upset by the content of your post, but you should be able to realize that now is not the time for this type of message. Our institution is in a precarious position largely as a result of your schools choice, so forgive me if it is hard to tolerate your attempt at goodwill.

I agree. I almost feel sorry for whoever's in a conference with Texas next. They've blown up the last 2 conferences they were in, why would the next one be any different?

The B8 has done nothing but bend over to the state of texas since the day the B12 was formed....and still its not enough

In a perfect world, they'd just go independent so every other school in their conference wasn't at the mercy of their every whim.

They could easily make it work and make tons of $$, so I don't know why they don't just do it.

Which is kind of funny - with the latest rumors saying Texas, A&M, Mizzou, and ND filling out the Big Ten...

I'll cheer for the Fuskers to beat the **** out of the Hawks every single time in every sport.
