Thank you for all the things you did for Cyclone Nation. You accomplished everything most in the pre-season thought imposable. You were named to the Big 12 tourney team, All Big 12 team, and named Big 12 tournament player of the year. You got to the Sweet 16 off a buzzer beating layup to beat UNC, and made everyone involved with the Iowa State program proud. You took a dead crow off the street, walked up, knocked on the door of everyone who said you were an issue or overrated or a thug with no future, polity told them to eat it. We'll never forget you

If not thank you for all of the memories this year. Also, sorry that I doubted if you would be a good addition to our team. I have inserted both feet in mouth now! There is no one else I would have rather added to this team than #50.

#50 will never be forgotten in Ames. Good luck in the pros Deandre, cyclone nation knows you are going to do big things. Thank you for all the memories that you have given us throughout the year. You are definitely one of my favorite all time cyclones of all time. Good luck with the rest of your career no matter what I know Iowa State, Ames, and the whole cyclone nation has your back. EAT.

Seriously, I thought he might stick around to work out and get ready for the NBA draft while also working toward his degree. A large portion of the degree can be done through credits taken in conjunction with a major project.
