TJ...

What surprises me is how Fred can’t get it together at Nebraska. I was reading the comments on their fan site and they are saying he is the worst coach ever, which is weird but funny. Lot of depressed people in Nebraska I guess.
It would be very Nebraska of Nebraska for them to let their sports frustrations out on the MBB program

Don't forget the Purdue game, where Burton was the obvious answer but CSP didn't figure it out til way too late.
And right after Burton got us the lead or the tie, can't remember, we went right back away from him driving and fired up bricks with the motionless offense. Agree with the post about Virginia too, allow them to score 20 straight before calling a TO and making adjustments. He was a lost puppy right there and you could see it, so thankful to have Otz. Some guys have a flukey start, this ain't that, this is real. It's like a Tim Floyd Def with Hoiberg Offense, love it.

Floyd defense, yes. Hoiberg offense, not so much. There's a lot of manufacturing points out of nothing and/or hustle, and against good defenses (haven't played many yet) it's going to be tough sledding.

What's encouraging though, is they have enough energy, conditioning, and hustle to give 100% on defense and yet still come down and play hard on offense. Usually teams rest a little on one or the other. These guys are IN SHAPE, and they have the depth to maintain it.

I know Morgan doesn't get much love on this board, but the defense and transition work those teams put in was a lot of fun to watch as well. Homan being a junkyard dog. Clark astounding everyone because he was our only player that could consistently dunk. oh the memz.

I liked the TJ hire, but was a little pissed he wasn’t bringing any UNLV players with him and that AJ green was staying at UNI. It appears as those two know what they are doing!

Also, I just want to contrast how Steve and TJ look on the sidelines. Steve always was putting on lip balm and looking a bit lost. TJ is always engaged, crouched down and yelling, or motioning with hands. Complete change.

Can you imagine Brockington flushing that flat footed two handed dunk and then calling a timeout? Lol.

I never imagined we'd be this good but I could see some signs right away in the Oregon State game.

You could see the defensive effort that game but what impressed me the most was watching their off-the-ball movement on offense. Our passing looked extremely crisp guys were constantly moving and cutting. It was a welcome departure from watching Bolton dribble around and jack up stupid shots while the other 4 stood around.

Another thing I noticed right away is they seemed to have a high basktball IQ. They are constantly running their offense until they get the best shot possible. You just don't see alot of mindless chucking like when Prohm was here.

I have heard so many people make fun of Prohm for calling a TO immediately following a great play by ISU, but I was so checked out these past two years that I barely paid attention. Do you have an example where I can see this?!?!

TJ knows what he is doing. He is Coaching his players. Prohm was clueless. Good guy. Man fell into a great situation at Murray State and inherited a great team. Inherited a great team at Iowa State. Fooled himself and others thinking he knew how to Coach. Fooled Steve Leath the most. Clueless fool. Leath left Iowa State for Auburn in 2017. Resigned from Auburn in 2019 with a hefty severance package after being one of the the worst College Presidents in Auburn University’s History.
