TJ...

Are they wanting to come back? figured they would move on to Europe.

King isn't a true 5 but does that matter anymore? We don't have much else in the frontcourt.
I think it is assumed everyone except Brockington were planning on at least 2 years. IB is already in his 5th year of college.

2 or 3 of TJ’s original staff here(had he gotten the job over Prohm) are all HC’s now. Green could be a HC but I think/hope he sticks around. Blount will be a HC. Robinson was kept around to keep Hinson and Foster, plus they had a previous connection and he seems to be a “players coach” which isn’t bad to have. I have no doubt TJ will keep bringing in good assistants, and I’ll be curious to see how long Robinson is kept. Overall top to bottom it’s a great group of coaches who all bring something different to the table.

I remember reading somewhere that Green does want to be a D1 head coach at some point.

Ultimately this was a good opportunity to get experience he needed without having to completely uproot his family from Cedar Falls. I could see him sticking around for a few more years until his daughter finishes up at UNI and then look to move on.

considering he's averaging 10 points a game at Gonzaga, I think he would get minutes. Don't think he's really a stylistic fit, though.
Considering we hung on to poor fits in Johnson and Hinson in hopes they would buy in, I would like to think the same was offered to a much better player. Getting talented players to conform to how you want them to play is a big part of being a HM coach. Perhaps Bolton said no thanks to changing at ISU, and rather have a reduced role at a place like Gonzaga than here.

Unless, of course, the UNI job came open...

TJ did an excellent job of trimming the Prohm fat right away. The guys more interested in shooting 20 times a game were shown the door and the guys who wanted to be part of a team were given a chance.

Jackson and Conditt have turned into fine players and even better teammates. It turns out they had it all long, just needed some coaching, a role, and some confidence.

I wonder if Hinson is regretting his decision to be a part of this now? He's probably had plenty of time to think about it as he's trying to walk-on at Mississippi Valley State.

He’s really trying to walk on there? Didn’t he leave the state of Mississippi the first time because of the flag?

I remember talking a friend or two off the ledge when he was hired. Good times.
