Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

I just don't see her coming back for a 5th year. Iowa loses the majority of her supporting cast as far as guards go.
If she doesn't come back I really don't know what Iowa is going to do for a point guard. They have a top 10 recruiting class coming in but the point guard in the class just tore her ACL. If Bluder doesn't retire she's going to have to embrace the portal.

When a player on a rival team pulls the stunt she pulled for attention, sympathy, and to stir up the local "she's a saint - she's OUR saint" crowd... then yes, she deserves to be called out for it. And the video clips clearly showing her doing it intentionally, then flopping, should be posted everywhere.

It's almost psychotic. "Oh crap, I lost, I must do something NOW to get people to give me more attention.!"
Yeah, the clip in the post above yours, the fan seems to glance away from her phone long enough to see CC coming and changes direction trying to avoid collision. CC, the star athlete, takes multiple steps looking right at her and then sticks her arms out without making any attempt to change direction. Sure, harder to do when running, but why is she running in a crowd of people?

Because she's extra special and needs to get off the court before all her teammates. Nobody is going to harm her teammates because they are 'nobody'... but she's Caitlin Clark! I mean... she's practically Michael Jordan according to Iowa fans.

Originaly when I saw the clip I thought the fan hit her intentionally. But once I could actually see it on my own phone the person I thought was the fan was CC. So was she intentionally trying to hit the fan and make a scene?

Todd Brommelkamp on 1600am in the CR area right now is hilarious.

Amazingly... he doesn't want to talk about CC flopping or anything associated with that... says he doesn't care. Instead, all he wants to talk about is how that OSU fan should have never been on the court, so it's all her fault, and colleges should be fined big money to avoid these things.... as if fans really give a crap if a university gets fined for them storming the court. And... it's well known that Iowa fans are some of the worst in the entire country, does he mention that? Nope. They throw full beer cans at officials, opposing players, and even their own cheer team. And then he brings up that us ISU fans don't need to comment on Iowa athletics all the time... and Iowa fans don't need to comment on ISU athletics all the time either.... uhh.. isn't that what rivals do?

Iowa fans and media have been bragging up CC all year, comparing her to MJ and Tiger even (lol), and saying how she's selling out every arena, etc, etc.... but then when an arena is sold out and their team upsets "the best women's basketball player EVER"... they should just sit on their hands in their seats and act like it wasn't a big deal? You can't have it both ways idiots. She's the best ever, but don't celebrate if you happen to beat her????

Do Iowa fans rush the field or storm the court? Of course they do. But Todd Brommelkamp has never went on the air the Monday after and talked bad about the Iowa fans for doing that. Why not? But when his snowflake CC gets ran into (or CC runs into someone I should say), then all of the sudden court storming or rushing the field is now an issue.

From the headlines I assumed it was crowded and she didn't see her, or truly got run up on. She just wasn't looking and ran straight into the fan.
Agree, the angle that is looking at the fan's face as the fan runs towards the camera - the fan moves to her right at the last second to avoid CC, and CC has her head down and hits the fan. And then flails and spins like an overdramatic toddler.

They actually do exist. We spend most of our time talking about ISU women's basketball and how ISU fans have been women's basketball fans much longer than Iowa fans. You should stop by.
I will, as soon as the ambulance shows up to get me off the store entrance that I faked a slip and fall.

It certainly has distracted from them blowing a big lead in the 4th

It has saved Bluder from a lot of criticism that she deserves for this loss IMO. And Bluder smartly recognized that and afterwards tried to make it into something it wasn't... but CC basically corrected her and said it wasn't a big deal.

Pretty much. Pissed because she lost, saw a fan to take it out on, shove, and then flail to make a production. It's classic CC. A media savy saint when things go well. However, don't like a call or lose? Time for yelling and theatrics.

Her WNBA career will be fun to watch with more losing, less control, more peers, not getting her way all the time, etc..

I feel bad for the gal that CC ran into. I mean come on, she couldn't see her.

Meh. I've followed Iowa State women's hoops for a long time and you really can't put a ton of stock into women's hoops recruiting rankings.

I don't know. She really likes being the queen of Iowa and living large. It will be hard for her to give up. She's known nothing else since HS. I'm sure she can make up for any guard deficiencies in her mind.
