It"s obviously reactionary but it's a classic strand of Haydenism when I go to Iowa and folks talk to me about all things Hok like it's something I'm supposed to support or attend.
Todd Brommelkamp on 1600am in the CR area right now is hilarious.
Amazingly... he doesn't want to talk about CC flopping or anything associated with that... says he doesn't care. Instead, all he wants to talk about is how that OSU fan should have never been on the court, so it's all her fault, and colleges should be fined big money to avoid these things.... as if fans really give a crap if a university gets fined for them storming the court. And... it's well known that Iowa fans are some of the worst in the entire country, does he mention that? Nope. They throw full beer cans at officials, opposing players, and even their own cheer team. And then he brings up that us ISU fans don't need to comment on Iowa athletics all the time... and Iowa fans don't need to comment on ISU athletics all the time either.... uhh.. isn't that what rivals do?
Iowa fans and media have been bragging up CC all year, comparing her to MJ and Tiger even (lol), and saying how she's selling out every arena, etc, etc.... but then when an arena is sold out and their team upsets "the best women's basketball player EVER"... they should just sit on their hands in their seats and act like it wasn't a big deal? You can't have it both ways idiots. She's the best ever, but don't celebrate if you happen to beat her????
Do Iowa fans rush the field or storm the court? Of course they do. But Todd Brommelkamp has never went on the air the Monday after and talked bad about the Iowa fans for doing that. Why not? But when his snowflake CC gets ran into (or CC runs into someone I should say), then all of the sudden court storming or rushing the field is now an issue.

I just don't see her coming back for a 5th year. Iowa loses the majority of her supporting cast as far as guards go.

I've said this since last year. If Bluder is smart she will retire because there are a lot of teams that are gonna run it up on Iowa after Clark leaves.
But then she could take ALL the shots instead of just half of them!
Seriously though... she's a great player, and you should get great players a lot of shots obviously... but it's not a winning formula many times.
A lot of times in sports, when one player scores that much, their team loses.
As someone who shoots a record proportion of her team's shots, I wonder if she even cares about a supporting cast.

I only listen to him on my way into work for about 10 minutes, but I have today off work, so figured I'd tune in to see what idiotic comments I knew he would say.
I wonder why CC didn't just walk off the floor with all of her other teammates? Why sprint off and risk injury? I would never try to sprint through that many people rushing the court.
Rumor has it they hung Scott Sterling's front teeth in the rafters after this game.

On a scale of 1-10, my interest in Iowa women's bb is a 0 unless they are playing ISU. With Clark, she's bumped my interest up to maybe a 1. What the media talks about or pushes doesn't necessarily mean you have to care about. You have a vote. Stop paying attention if you don't like her, or in most cases, the team she plays for. It's not that difficult.
I wonder what his stance would be IF iowa beat Purdue Saturday and Edey got run into and got "hurt".
That's the kicker Frau Bluder said my player got ran into walking off the court. IF Clark would have been walking off this wouldn't have happened. Clark ran into someone and flopped simple as that.
Edey, nor any other player I can think of, would never pull such a hilarious, fake, attention seeking stunt like Clark just did.
Bluder did the same thing with Gustafson just like Bill did with Carleton and Joens. Against good balanced teams it's just not the winning formula.
Now I want to see Edey do a pirouette fair catch signal flop.
Had Iowa fans stormed the court on Saturday had they beat Purdue, Todd would have been loving that at the moment... guaranteed.
And then the very next day he would have come out after what happened to CC and said storming the court should be outlawed, university's should be fined, and there needs to be way more security. That was the other thing Todd said... these arenas need a LOT more security. To protect his precious CC I can only assume?
