Eh. I disagree that this year would work against us if THT goes to the draft, if that is what you are implying.
HS kids hear One and Done and 6 NBA players in the league right now, and they get enticed. I am not saying we are going to turn into UK or Arizona of previous years, but having that to reference is, in every way, a positive for ISU.
Yeah, most good programs can say the same thing. And we couldn't. Now we can(if it happens). All else equal, that is a positive for ISU recruiting.
Lindell probably gone too. I'm still not sure Terrance Lewis sticks around. He seemed very unhappy during the season. Maybe that changes now.
Zion has to develop into a Big 12 caliber player. We sure didn't see much of anything from him in 2019. Not that he can't develop, but you sure can't call it a "sure thing" at this point.

Damn. Next year could be pretty rough if Wiggy goes too. So unfortunate. Get rid of one and done rule. For people like me who love college basketball and hate the NBA this **** sucks.
Players going pro early is good for recruiting long-term but if LW leaves this year also we'll be at the bottom of the B12 again next year.

Bleacher Report has him 22nd. Sporting News has him 24th. CBS Sports has him 24nd. Sports Illustrated has him 25th.
Going late first round is not a bad landing spot. He'll end up on an above average team there.
1st round guarantee money or stay in school and play for free? I would say he is making the right choice. They will stash him in G league and let him develop. I hate it and wish he would come back but to have him, Wiggs, Shayok all leave to the NBA would be good for recruiting. Sucks now but overall might end up helping us.

2 years ago 8-10 was the record of the 9th best team in the league. It’s a tough league and if OSU and WVU improve, that wouldn’t mean we would have to fall all that far.
I'm talking about the 2019-2020 season working against us. If we bottom out the big 12 again like we did in 2017-2018, that's not going to sell many recruits.
Hopefully THT gets paid.
