Anyone have thoughts on Zion stepping in? He seemed to have been highly recruited but I don’t know much about him. he started the year injured, how much did that affect his minutes?

This is why I have been so critical os CSP and the team underachieving this year. We needed to really peak with this roster to pull in some big recruits for next year. If we bottom out next year we will have two rebuilding years and a one and done tourney appearance over a three year span. That is a big step down from the years prior and it is going to take a lot of momentum out of the program for recruiting.

Even if they reached a final four in likely wouldn't have an effect on bringing in great recruits in the current class. Usually not too many top end recruits left in the spring. Usually the success of a year is realized in the following recruiting class.

Nother but a positive for Iowa State. Prohm has a one and done that was outside the top 50.

As for our future it forces the change most have been calling for, playing two bigs . Honestly the only non post that can possibly handle the 4 is Griffin and he has a long way to go to handle starter minutes.

Hopefully this helps our chances with Nadolny.

Wait getting one and dones hurts our recruiting? I thought that is what you want to strive for. Getting one and dones helps build momentum for recruiting because only a few schools are actually successful in pushing out kids ready for the draft after one year. I find it hard to believe we will be a bottom league team even if we lose Wigginton too. If I had to put money on it I think ISU will be a tournament team next year. (I believe Lindell will be back too on top of that)

Leech, Jackson and Anderson have already signed coming off the one rebuild year ISU has had. The staff is in good position off this year with a number of highly regarded prospect and now see the potential of early entry in the NBA ISU can offer this summer to get the next class.
While this past year could have ended up better, the staff can still sell being ranked much of the year, Big 12 championship and a 6 seed NCAA team.

Maybe we can talk Cam into coming back.. Steve wont be obligated to go small with THT so he can put Jacobson at the 4 now.

Totally joking but what if......
