Maybe this has been addressed elsewhere, but is this weekend a sample of the difficulty the top teams in the Big 12 will have in maintaining eligibility for the championship or BCS games? In past years, it's likely that OKSt. might have been able to "duck ISU" (I know...that feels weird to write!) or other North division teams they're less familiar with.
Even great teams have a down game now and then. With a 9-game round robin schedule, you're more likely to play that down game against another conference team. As this weekend proved, there aren't any gimme games in the Big 12. I think we're seeing a future of having a bunch of 6-7 win teams and no undefeated champion in the Big 12.
From a Missouri standpoint, I'd DEFINITELY prefer 6 games against the SEC East, 2 against the West, and 4 OOC games than just 3 OOC games and playing EVERY team in the Big 12.
