KU vs. Louisville. They both would rather be playing basketball anyway.

That way we can keep Farmageddon.

Right. The Border War's death is going to really crank up the heat in KU/KSU.

Al! Say it ain't so! Now you're over on the WVU board, engaging with your potential conference rival over the "BILLIONS" of dollars KC is going to lose after the Big 12 dissolves...er...moves CCGs to OKC.

Scout.com: Poetic Justice that Mizzou BOC is meeting in KC

Seriously though, KCK is a dump. Even our KS friends will admit that.

It's weird how this all plays out...KU, KSU, and ISU fans hangin' out with WVU, all joined in their dislike for Mizzou. What does WVU have against Mizzou? They were selected as SEC #14, a spot WVU wanted. The Big 12 is their fallback position.

I don't blame WVU a bit...we'd be doing the SAME thing if they got the spot. But our own conference-mates, shivving us on our way out the door, with another team that really doesn't want to be in the Big 12?

Glad to see stability is returning to the conference.

Why do you keep coming back? You said you were gone multiple times already. The only good coming from your posts is adding to this huge thread.

On Realignment, the quote of the day goes to Kim Mulkey at Baylor:

"I remember Texas A&M's president with these quotes: 'It's like a marriage. If it's over, it's over,'" Mulkey said of the Aggies' decision to exit the Big 12, mostly due to being intensely sick of the Texas Longhorns. "Who wants a relationship that's over and has no value for you? Basically, he's talking about a divorce. And I know a little bit about a divorce.

"My feeling is this: If a man wants to divorce me and says our relationship has no value to him, and then asks me if he can sleep with me, the answer is, 'No!'"

Have you ever been to the Legends area? Far from a dump and KCK had far more vision than KCMO ever had in building that area. Add an arena there and the Big 12 would have the tournament there in an instant. The Wizards (I mean Sporting KC) sell out almost every single game in their new stadium.

The truth is MU doesn't want to be in the SEC either. They are using it as a fall back option to the BIG.

Hoops, you think the KC metro area can sustain TWO brand-new sports arenas, with no NBA or NHL tenants, based on a 4-day basketball tournament? What do you schedule there the other 361 days of the year?

It's more likely that the league will choose to hold the tourney in DSM or Wichita than it is to see another venue built to compete with the Sprint Center.

Most likely, the B12 will use this as an excuse to move the tourney to OKC or Dallas permanently. KU hoops doesn't have enough clout with league mgmt. to keep it in KC.
