If you think that it was kansas that disrespected the rivalry you are dumber that anyone on here gives you credit for. That better be a "dopey yellow, I hope everyone gets the joke" smily face.

Meh...I won't waste everyone's time with the same old arguments we've all read before. I'll leave it to say that Missouri is ready to play Kansas anytime, anywhere...just like both teams did long before there was a Big 12, or a Big 8.

Do you mean Mizzou wouldn't back out of the game like you did with IOWA??

Damn right, like back in the days of the Big 6 or the Missouri Valley.... oh wait, both schools were still in the same conference back then too, dating all the way back to 1907. Well, of course in the days before that, KU and Mizzou were both members of the Western Interstate University Football Association dating back to 1892.

So yes, you had a long storied history of not being in a conference with KU consisting of 1890-1892 where Mizzou was an independent. Of course, KU didn't start playing football until 1891. So you played 2 games outside of conference play (both KU wins by the way), followed by what, 117 games of being in the same conference?

The basketball series only dates to 1907, so there were no meetings prior to being together in the Missouri Valley.

So really, no, you haven't had much of any history playing each other outside of conference matchups, and it isn't KU's fault that this series is going to end. Anyways, not sure that you should be wasting your time here, there are 12 SEC schools out there that have message boards and have hardly even heard of Mizzou. You should probably be over there introducing them to your special brand of awesome.

Absolutely not. Iowa>>>>>>>>>>>KU.

Just because Kansas is Mizzou's rival doesn't mean that they're any good.

Football Series,
Mizzou leads 56-54-9
Interesting footnote here, Mizzou didn't have the advantage in the series until 1960, 69 games in. And even in this case, they actually lost on the field in 1960 but KU had to forfeit due to an ineligible player. Throw out the forfeit, and the series is tied.

Basketball Series,
KU leads 171-94

Wikipedia is your friend! And if KU isn't any good, things don't look so hot for Missouri here either.

Well,m did ZOU get a loan yet to get their divorce yet? Did WVU reach court yet? Well, if it is tied up in court, it is sounding like we are stuck with ZOU for next year.

This idea that Neinas is the driving force between a 10 team league with a round robin schedule seems to be really gaining some traction. Somebody posted a Barry Trammel column within the last week or so that indicated the same and also seemed to say that OU would prefer expansion to 12 with divisional play and 8 conference games. If that is the case, what schools would be against a move back to 8 games? And if the majority of the schools want 12 and 8, how can Neinas do anything about it? The constant excuses tossed out about Beebe were that he could only do what the conference would allow him to do. But in the case of the interim guy, he can resist the will of the conference all by himself? Something doesn't quite add up.

ISU is against it. We would rather continue with 9 conference gams and a game against IA so that we can consistently have a top 5 schedule in the nation. :jimlad:

Missouri's not coming back to the Big 12 next year. Did the Jeffersons go back to Queens after they moved on up to the East Side? No way.

Mizzou has finally got a piece of the pie. It took a whole lot of trying, just to get up that hill. But now we're up in the big leagues, getting our turn at bat. As long as we live, it's the SEC baby.

And there ain't nothin' wrong with that.
