If admission into the Big Ten were based on academics, travel costs, geography, built-in rivalries, all sports besides football, and common sense we would be a shoe-in.

Go Cyclones!!!

Yep. Hell, even football. We'd compete alright in the big 10. Not a top tier team, but we wouldnt be destined to be a bottom feeder either. Just dont bring much additional tv audience.

Id love to have road trips to lincoln, minneapolis, madison, chicago, champaign, all within close distance.

Here is the fixed link.

The Houston Chronicle reported Friday that Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe told an unnamed A&M official that Texas was the key to the Big 12 and that the league would survive without Texas A&M.

Big 12 associate commissioner Bob Burda told Orangebloods.com Saturday, "That's patently untrue misinformation from an unnamed source."

Would that un-named source be the same one that said that Clemson, FSU and Mizzou are going to SEC too?

So much pure, unadulterated **** seems to be flowing from the mouths of unnamed A&M sources that I truly have no idea which way is up in this whole situation. Nothing can be trusted from them.

they would just leave at the first opportunity

Maybe not, imagine if they tried and failed this time. They would look like losers worse than Mizzou last year. If they failed twice, they'd look even worse and probably get the ball rolling to themselves getting kicked out of the conference. Then they'd be hated and homeless, all because they couldn't appreciate the good deal they currently have with the Big XII.

OK so I've read where Florida doesn't want Florida State. Oklahoma won't go anywhere without Oklahoma State. Missouri apparently holds the key to wether the Big 12 stays or is gone. Clemson, Va. Tech have both said they haven't been contacted by the SEC. Louisville said it hasn't been contacted by the Big 12. What else have I missed

For the life of me I cannot understand why Louisville isn't more attractive to the Big 12???

Outside of ND and Arkansas (the two clear cut homeruns but longshots), BYU and Louisville should be the top two choices. Louisville would bring as much as BYU and WAY more than AF.

Schools that to me make some sense. BYU, Houston, Louisville Memphis other that that im not sure why Air Force makes sense or what other schools make sense

It kind of makes me sad that with all the crap last year, the AD's wouldn't already have a plan/plans in place.

They may have an idea of a plan but you didn't know what school would leave and you may want to after 1 year look back and change the order of list if you were looking at schools to expand

Pitt should be higher on the list then L'Ville.
