Be interesting to see if Missouri leaves as well as A&M if the Big 10 looks at adding any of these teams or if they split and go 4 to Pac 12 and rest to Big East

When I said Kansas didn't have clean hands the other day?

Kansas approached Oklahoma & Oklahoma State about pursing Big Ten Membership, Texas showed interest as well.

Oklahoma States academics killed the Big Ten block

Why not ISU? What does OSU have that we don't? We have the academics, and with OU on board, OSU and ISU are equally redundant in terms of market share.

The more I talk to SEC sources, the more it looks like there will be a two team expansion for now, and it'll be A&M & Mizzou...no ACC teams.

For those of you who dont believe that Mizzou has a chance at the SEC.

This is why ISU needs to get on board with the Big East. It's ISU's only option at getting in a BCS conference. Big 10 doesn't want ISU.

That guy is worthless. He's been throwing all kinds of **** at the wall the last month at least. He has a clear agenda, predictions of doom for the big 12. If it happens, it happens, but this guy knows nothing.

I have no trouble believing that Mizzou to anywhere could happen.

My question is: Why should I believe it from this GSwaim? Seems like he wasn't well-received last week, as though he isn't very credible.

I don't know who he is at all, so I don't know either way on anything he says. Why should I believe him or not believe him?

Like I said early President Boren is committed to not leaving Oklahoma State behind. thats the only reason they are safe

Not saying to trust what he says but dont tell me that Mizzou doesnt have a chance of getting into the SEC when rumors are swirling that they have already been in contact with the SEC and possibly have already all but been accepted into the conference. If this is true I would root for the Pac 12 to take OK OK State, Texas, and Tech so there is a sliver of hope at getting into the Big 10 or most likely going into the Big East with Kansas and Kansas State.

Im going to be interested to see if the Big East expands because if the big 12 folds that creats like a 20 team basketball conference.

Depending on how things break and who is on the table, ISU to the Big 10 might not be as crazy as once thought.

If one league goes to 16, you know they will too. We have the academics, geography, rivalries, and relationships between our administrators and theres. Depending on who goes where, they could find themselves having to choose amongst schools that aren't big "splashes" or add much to the B10N. I mean Nebraska only added 1.7 million people. Our programs are would be competitive, but we wouldn't come in and unseat any power players.

Based on ISU's perfect fit in every other respect, I could see the Big 10 considering it.

I'd put it at about a 1% chance, but there are sound logical reasons as to why it could happen.

Read my first sentence.

I'm questioning the source of that specific report, not the overall idea.

This type of shenanigans is what gets us into trouble. Everyone just needs to chill out and talk with each other (who cares about a$m at this point, they are digging their own graves). It sounds like the AD's and presidents of the 9 schools other than a$m are putting up a solid front to stay together and maybe even reach out to a couple more schools. Unless you are a credible member of the media with a first hand source (no "a$m officials say "-" will go with us) I don't care.

Considering the reports some talked to the big 10 it doesnt sound like anyone is committed, just willing to take the best offer that comes along. Most of us are only here because the big 12 tv deal is the best we think we can get. Most B12N teams would jump at a big 10 invitation.

What? Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and two others (KU and KSU) already had talks with the Big 10. The conference is over.
