You complain that the conference isn't being proactive, and then when they say they are looking at being proactive, you complain about that. Very troll-like.

It would be nice if our faux commissioner was being proactive, not having to have UT lead the charge.

Thanks, but no thanks Big 12 | C. L. Brown - U of L Beat

Louisville won't be joining the Big 12 according to their AD.

Hilarious stuff. The only reason they wouldn't be interested is because they like all of the pillow fights they get to participate in as a member of the Big East. I am not shocked they don't want to play in the Big XII and get their *** kicked the majority of the time.

This idea that Boise State belongs in the top conferences needs to end. They are a JUCO level school that happens to have a D1 program built on partial qualifies.

:swoon:

Yes. A "blue" version of how Nebraska built their football program.

He didn't actually rule anything out. The reporter interpreted it that way.

He would have to pay attention to the possible money on the table. It's one thing to say something vaguely now. It's another thing when it actually happens.

Yep. And Houston, Louisville, Memphis, Cincinnati, too. If there's a city name in the name of the school, it's probably a mutated former municipal college. New York University and Chicago University excluded.

Chip Brown being Texas's mouthpiece again.

Acting as if the UT\A&M game wont be played again 'throwing out this rivalry'. No way they dont play that game. Way too much money in that game.

Sure they do. They want to move the signature home&home series with ISU to the day after Thanksgiving

(:jimlad: really - those cowards won't go north of the mason-dixon line after November 1)

Am I the only proponent for CSU? I think they could add a lot to the conference, in the future that is. I realize we need a top tier program as well, so go reel in BYU as well. Can we really afford to be picky given the situation?

How do know that he isn't being proactive? I can answer that one...you don't have a clue what Beebe is or isn't doing. Just more ignorant complaining.

He's eating Chinese food.

Dan Beebe
yes deloss and them are working on replacements for aggie instead of me i tried calling rice and 30 mins later i got chinese food at my door

You have to look at future value, not necessarily present. Most teams not named Texas or Oklahoma would drop tremendously if they ended up in CUSA or the MWC. Conversely, there are some teams with potential to become major teams if elevated to major conference status.

Houston is one of those teams. Louisville and Cincinatti already are BCS conference teams, with potential to become even better with better money than the big east is currently bringing (id really like Louisville).

Yes. We need to be VERY picky. Adding for the sake of adding is stupid. It needs to be schools committed to their new conference and that add revenue. BYU is the only available realistic school. But, I would raid the big east if possible to try to start conferenceggeddon ourselves rather than waiting for it. Make that conference disappear, not the big xii.

At this point wouldnt it be best to go back to 12 teams? Go after a few ACC schools or Big East schools. Sounds like the SEC is going to raid the ACC.

I'm not saying we should go add UNI, but I don't really see what top tier program in their right mind would enter a conference with Texas. I don't think we'll get any teams from the Big East to join.
