They don't have to be set. A player that is straight up and in position isn't supposed to be punished. They have obtained "legal guarding position."
Well he is skilled and unselfish enough to pass out of double teams and the rest of the team can hit 3s.
There's no reason to to not run almost every half court play through him down low.
When we can't shoot, we are terrible. When we can we are pretty decent. That's about all you can say about this team.
1/2 0-Time Observations
1. Christopherson has no business running the point. He is not fast enough to penetrate and ends up in the air looking for someone to pass to. This has been his pattern in all of the games I have seen.
2. Allen is out biggest problem offensively, even more so than Christopherson. He is a selfish player and has put up more bad shots than almost everyone else combined.
3. White is out only one who can create his own shot.
4. We are getting better defensively but still need to communicate better.
5. People who continue to slam White for "not sweating" are idiots.
6. People who continue to denigrate Garrett are bigger idiots.

SC's biggest problem is he constantly leaves his feet when he drives toward the basket. He's then forced to make a horrible pass to avoid the traveling call. If he'd stay in control & use a jump stop, he could then pass the ball out even when the drive doesn't result in a shot.

Scotty and allen need to sit. The offense is more effective with bubu at the point running it through royce before allen misses a horible shot or scott dribbles around and turns it over
Agreed. Turnovers were fine. Far down, but scotty still had 2 that were just stupid and avoidable.
Defense was actually pretty good, too. Left them to a lot of open shots, but that's going to happen sometimes. The lack of offense is this team's biggest problem.

He is a one trick pony. SOMETIMES he can drive to the hoop but it's usually when there's a big hole for him opening or already existing.
He reminds me of Lucca Staiger. All they could do was shoot 3 pointers. Well guess what? I could too when I was growing up but I still sucked at playing the game because that's all I could do (and make cool passes sometimes).

The amount of poor shoots should be added to the turnovers.
We only scored 25 points in one half. Not what I'd call a clean half of basketball - particularly offensively.
We need to push it more & try to score in transition. Hard to do without a PG.
Bubu needs to play more & fill this role - get the ball up the court quickly & get into something before the half court D can get set.

im gonna look really dumb here. is Korie L really coming at semester annoucers keep saying it . i thought he was availble next year
We are way to predictable on offense. Don't mind that we r going thru Royce, but what r the other guys doing. We need a threat of someone cutting to the hoop to keep the dfense honest. Have the option for Royce of a cutter, kick for 3 or his own move.
Hate offenses that just stand around. Want to see Fred make some adjustments at half. If not we get burried.
