The Mitchell Report (Names Added)

I just did the same search. No Pujols. Whew!

There weren't as many names as I thought. It looks like they came mostly from two sources, the Balco connection and the Mets locker room guy.

I hope the media kills Roger Clemens like they have Barry Bonds. They won't, but they should.

Miller said on his show that it is a sad day for baseball... I actually think it's a good day. We got it all out on the table, or what we know, and now we can put it behind us and learn from it. If baseball takes and applies Mr. Mitchell's recommendations then it is a good day all around...

I think it's a great day - besides McGwire, Canseco, Palmiero, Sheffield, and both Giambis, we know exactly who we get to hate now. Good - just one more reason to hate Clemens...

I hope the media kills Roger Clemens like they have Barry Bonds. They won't, but they should.

I agree! Where will the side-by-side pics of Roger be? You know the ones of Barry that everyone used for evidence of his enhancement! Barry used...we all can agree on that...but others obviously have as well. If the media uses the excuse that Barry was rude and mistreated the media...that is a travesty as well! The media is not supposed to be biased (yeah right)!

I'm glad Dante Bichette isn't on the "official list." He was one of my favorite players back in the day and it just didn't seem like he would be the type of player to juice.

Dante Bichette...when was the last time we had a Dante Bichette mention on this board? LOL...

Earlier today...

Basically, I was wondering if someone that knows more than me on this issue can share their knowledge. Who is Mitchell, why is it only he that has all of this confidential information, how does he know what he does with everyone else being clueless. What will this report mean?

M&M were going crazy over it yesterday which I'll admit got me excited to see who's on the list.

**EDIT: Cycloneworld reported some names, but I'll put them on the front of this thread.

Names to be reported on the Mitchell Report.

Paul Byrd
Wil Cordero
Ken Caminiti

I haven't thought of him in a long time! I did notice that Jim Parque is on the official list...he was a White Sox LHP that was 5'8"/140 at most...I guess the competition to get or keep one of those jobs makes people do things we sit and think "why?"!

Same with Fernando Vina... what's the point.

anybody remember his kid in the little league world series? That was a scary 12 year old...

Yeah - Dante Bichette and his son took Davenport Northwest Little League (the one I used to play at when I was a kid) to school in the Little League World Series a couple of years back.

The big issue I have with all of this is that GMs and management actually speculated on getting players on steriods to increase their trade value. There are notes from management in the Mitchell Report discussing which players on are steriods, when players stopped taking them, and getting players back on them to help their recovery time.

I still wonder how accurate that new list is because were is Sosa? I know Sosa is mentioned in the report.

This is the only mention of Sosa in the report.

Mitchell Report said:
Through his personal lawyer, I asked McGwire to meet with me for an interview about these issues, but he declined to do so. I then sent his lawyer a list of specific questions about whether McGwire had ever used steroids or other performance enhancing substances without a prescription during his major league career, in the hope that McGwire would be willing to provide a response outside of the context of an interview. Neither McGwire nor his lawyer responded to that letter. (I sent similar letters with specific questions to lawyers for Barry Bonds, Rafael Palmeiro, Sammy Sosa, and Gary Sheffield, none of whom provided answers to my questions either.)
