The Mitchell Report (Names Added)

Looks like my Twins are a clean ball club for the most part. Rincohn already took a punishment for his usage.

I found it interesting that the golden boy Ankiel was on the list.

Ankiel admitted it earlier this year saying it was prescribed by his doctor. There were a few surprises on the list but I'm guessing that this list is just a small portion of who was doing it.

Manny Ramirez was missed? Poor exposure investigation.

Looks like all the homerun hitters from last 15 years are on the list.

Two thoughts on the list:

1) I was really hoping Pujols wasn't on the list. My nine-year-old idolizes Albert Pujols. He's going to be crushed by the news.

2) Wally Joyner? :biglaugh: I hope he got a refund from his supplier.

I was surprised by Pujols is on there. While this list is not official, for sure anyway. He is really the only current superstar on there. You don't here much talk about him taking roids.

Not me...most people to this point have based their opinion of "on 'em" or "not on 'em" by one of two ways...either a change in physical appearance or a change in statistics.

The deal with Pujols (and other Dominican born players) is that they start doing this stuff very early (in their early teens from what I hear) so they can get spotted and "rescued" from this island of poverty. That means that we never see the change in appearance or the change in stats...they come "pre-juiced" so-to-speak!

An mlb official said there are multiple errors so we could be some that are accused and not guilty. I am hoping Pujols is actually innocent but I guess we will find out.

Pujols moved to Kansas City when he was 16. I saw him play in High School. There were STRONG rumors that his entire junior college team was on the juice though.

Kyle Farnsworth?.....on the juice?.....boy that really makes you think!

Well according to ESPN, all of the lists out now are being denied by the MLB. This could be for number of reasons, hopefully because it is not all correct, I would hate to see Pojuls on there. It is also supposedly people that were involved with steriods not nessacarly mean they took steroids, whatever involved means.

Re: The Mitchell Report

I agree 100% curt. The reason its a big deal because taking drugs to make you play better is a sexy media story.

What is the difference between a player taking roids and a player who got pulled over for drunk driving? Both did something against the law but did not break a specific MLB rule.

Drunk driving isn't performance enhancing.

What I think this will do for me is really respect some of the names that aren't on the list or aren't suspected of juicing even more. If Frank Thomas or Jim Thome aren't suspected, it really shows how good they actually were.

As a lifelong fan of Frank Thomas I doubt very much he took them. The main reason being he was also a college football player at Auburn and the NCAA regularly tests for steriods in football
