The Fran fade

I don't see anyone in that lineup that will be able to consistently create their own shot.
While true, we thought the similar thing last year. No one thought that Brockington was going to be able to do what he did. I personally think Jaren Holmes is going to be the breakout player but I also think that Gabe can be more a factor if his shot selection is more in the mid range.

Agree on Holmes. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.

HerkyFan is in a world all of his own. Very unhinged.
No, he is not all alone.

I won't say it is a majority of hok fans but there is a very significant number of hok fans that are exactly like him and they all feed off each other. They have created an alternate reality that they will go to any length to preserve and stay inside of. I think the level they have taken this to distinguishes from all the other annoying fan bases out there.

I have no idea who that may be, but I'm personally hoping for a .500 or better season and hopefully the tourney again. TJ can't put the ball thru the hoop but he sure can coach at least I thought he did a heck of a job last yr.

I will decipher his tweet

I chose Iowa because I know it’s the perfect fit for me…The system they have is exactly what I want to play in.”

This means “I really hate playing defense, but like the chance to shoot threes and hold my coach from fighting refs.”

Getting this kid is fine for them ….cool but when watson locks him down each year and they are 27 years without a sweet 16 don’t blame Fran I guess

It’s a good get for Iowa but I’d be so frustrated as a fan knowing you got another 6’7” white kid from Iowa who had a relative play for the team.

Iowa's roster is comprised of sort of athletic white kids that shoot well. They will never really be a threat to go anywhere in the NCAA's with this recipe. This last season is sort of the pinnacle for Fran. Win the conference tournament, but get bounced in the first (game) weekend.

The lack of commitment to defense of any sort is what does them in. Sure, the dynasty Golden State Warriors scored like mad, but they have also been a top-5 defense every year they were I contention. The only college team I can think of that had any notable success while largely ignoring that end of the floor was the 2005 North Carolina team… that had 6 freaking players drafted.
