How was he close to being in his first sweet 16 after loosing a first round game?
I was surprised that Iowa didn't at least win one game. They were on a roll for the last 2 weeks.
It's as if Chad is trying to get people to believe this was a round of 32 game.
At least he quasi-dismissed it.
But Hok fan will eat that up. There's several right now at a bar reading that and rolling with it.

That’s a B.S., and frankly, a dumb question / statement …. “Stopped short of a sweet 16”???? WTF, don’t you have to win one game first to be “on the verge” of a sweet 16?
On a positive note, the new balls can only help our shooting.
The reason iowa gets hammered in the tourney on the rare occasion they go is because their guards always SUCK. They can’t keep up with real guards. Perkins had about five good games at the end of the year in a weak ass conference. They have had some really good bigs but no guards. No wonder Murray couldn’t get shots. Their guards aren’t good enough to get it to him. Go cyclones tomorrow!!
In two out of our last 3 games we scored 36 and 41 points. A change in basketballs is likely a good thing for everyone!

Since the PIG is considered in the tourney, Fran is 6-11 all time in NCAA tourney. 0-1 in round of 68, 6-4 in round of 64, 0-6 in round of 32. He has won as a #13, #9, #7, #7, #10 and #2 seed. Two of his wins are against higher seeds, (won as #13 seed at Siena and #10 seed at Iowa. I consider 8-9 to be the same). He has lost twice as the higher seed (last two years as #2 seed). So much like the regular season, he wins most of the games he is supposed to, 50/50 in toss up games and loses to higher seed (better teams). He has pulled two upsets and been upset twice. For a D1 coach, I would say he defines average.

By betting lines they were upset but actually the game didn't really look like an upset.
