The Fran fade

C Dub on Fanatics yesterday trolling the Hawk fan base. Did it very subtly too. When talking about how crazy it was that Michigan trucked Iowa, then got trucked by Illinois without their best player, he uttered the term "Meat Grinder...such a meat grinder. MEAT GRINDER!" I about died with laughter.

And now G6 has one guaranteed team. So you are saying that since 11 instead of 10 get in that it is so much more difficult?

I said that getting into an 8 team pool was much harder than 12 and that 10 was harder than 12. I also said that I didn't think ISU would have been included as a team under the old BCS system of 8 teams, but probably would have been included under the newer BCS system of 10 teams. Do you agree with that?

That getting into a group of 10 is tougher than 11? (Only 11 are available to P5 teams now so it’s not 12). A little I guess but it’s not like it’s considerably tougher.

If you're the 11th team and you win, do you still get a trophy?

Rank them from best to worst
#1 Stanford 2015........#10 Oregon 2020 (the only Pac 12 Champion (*) to not finish the season ranked). Conference champ finishing unranked hadn't happened since 1999 when Stanford finished 8-4. This was the worst team since then.

In the 8 years of the BCS when it was 10 teams, 7 of those years a non P6 (adding the Big East since they got an AQ) was included in the BCS with one of those years having two teams included. Plus their were 6 P6 conference champs with automatic qualification for the BCS compared to 5 now. So yes, it is quite a difference between the newer BCS era compared to the NY6.

Iowa -17 it sounds like tonight.
I think that's a tough one to figure out. I probably wouldn't touch that line because it sounds pretty close to what I'd imagine.

Hard to say. Hoiberg really wants to beat Fran and they just waxed Rutgers without their best player this year. Maybe addition by subtraction.

Hard to believe that Iowa is favored by 17 on a night where ISU is laying 17.

Where have you read that?

If Bolton doesn't play ISU probably covers. They played maybe their best half of basketball the 2nd half against TCU.
