I’m guessing you could find some pizza if you were willing to look, and peoples heads would be bobbing if they saw you eat that. Are there free bobble heads and pizza at the geo dome cuz Hilton could be the outlier.

Don't think Sandfort has quite the athletic ability that Baer had, but he is a much better shooter.
I see a lot of brackets with Iowa State playing in a potential 2nd round vs Purdue. Curious how Iowa State fans think they matchup compared to like a Duke, Kentucky, Villanova etc.
I think I agree though Kentucky is maybe above even Purdue for me. I think Kentucky has a complete roster if they're healthy which currently they're not. Purdue doesn't have as good of guards but they're efficient. You can get turnovers but they will shoot a high %. If you play purdue you have to make shots and it's not Iowa states strength. I think Iowa State could give Duke or Villanova as you said a battleI think Purdue would be the worst matchup out of all those teams. Would prefer Villanova out of the possible 2 seeds.
I’d hate Purdue because of their size. Would hate Kentucky because they’re a dark horse to win it all. Would take Duke and Villanova over those.I see a lot of brackets with Iowa State playing in a potential 2nd round vs Purdue. Well putI’d hate Purdue because of their size. Would hate Kentucky because they’re a dark horse to win it all. Would take Duke and Villanova over those.
Duke has struggled with Virginia twice this year and Iowa State plays the game like Virginia does. TJ developed his defensive mindset from Tony’s father, and TJ and Tony are pretty good friends.
It would be great to send that old sourpuss Kreshevsky out with a loss in his final game at Duke.I’d hate Purdue because of their size. Would hate Kentucky because they’re a dark horse to win it all. Would take Duke and Villanova over those.

I know nothing about Purdue, so definitely no idea how purdue would do against those other teams. I would suggest asking the Purdue fans site how they matchup with a duke, kentucky, etc.I see a lot of brackets with Iowa State playing in a potential 2nd round vs Purdue. Since you love your wife, and have a very flawed FIL to watch sports with, I have a suggestion: Take him deer hunting and have him dress up as a decoy. Tell him it will help attract other deer. This might help with watching sports in the future. Just sayin.I don't have much to add to this conversation right now except this:
If I ever watch the Hawks play, it is with my Hawk loving father in law. Lately, he has been returning the favor and watching Iowa State games with me, since they are "halfway decent this year" in his words.
We watched the WVU game last night, and in the first half I had to listen to him drivel on about how unfortunate it is that Brockington can't go right and that it really limits him at this level of basketball. *Eye roll*...the first half unravels on ISU and by the time we're down 10 and the buzzer sounds, he turns to me and says, "Be honest with me, how in the hell did these guys beat Iowa?"
I have never wanted to hit someone so bad in my life. Let's just say he's lucky I love his daughter.
The 2nd half was a ton of fun. He got progressively quieter as Iowa State seized momentum back and took a lead, en route to the victory. Poor guy wasn't even in the room when Brockington made the play of the game.
I don't get it.
Iowa has Garza and then Murray right after.
They might win BACK TO BACK NPOTY awards with two different guys.
(And still only get two NCAA tournament wins out of it, haha.)
Yet despite that historic accomplishment... their fan support is depressing and the sense is one of stagnation.
Imagine what our fanbase would be like if we had the same luck.
We loved and supported guys like Fizer and Niang but they never came close to winning those awards.
Yes he'd be really good in the Valley but I still think he has a spot for most teams in power 6. Maybe not the elite teams but 90 percent of teams would take him. He's always quickest guy on the court and I love his instincts
He doesn't shoot 3s often. Lot of pg's don't shoot from 3 well. I don't think Hunter is a very good shooter but I'd take him too. Toussaint is more of a creator for others but yes he can get out of control
So you can call him teenage boy also?Joe T sucks, I call him Penetrate and Panic guy.
Did someone really make this comparison? Like, did someone actually think Joe T is even in the same stratosphere of player Tyrese is? Tyrese, a highly touted kid who has had a great FR year and projects as an all-Big 12 type in the future vs Joe T who still struggles as a JR with things he's been bad at since he was a FR. Not highly touted, undersized and underskilled Missouri Valley type of player. C'mon, whoever is making this comp needs to be banned. This is a terrible troll.Tyrese Hunter is 10 times the player Joe T is. Do you understand basketball at all?
I know more basketball than Tim Legler. Way to cherry pick the argument.Tyrese Hunter is 10 times the player Joe T is. Do you understand basketball at all?
Penetrate and Panic? Sounds like high school memories.Joe T sucks, I call him Penetrate and Panic guy.
No not really the point was that neither could shoot from 3 point range that efficiently but I guess that's what it becameDid someone really make this comparison? Ok good. Yeah, Tyrese has struggled from 3 pt this year, but he has a nice looking shot/decent form. I think there is potential for improvement there for sure. Not sure on Joe in that regard, I don't see him shoot much.No not really the point was that neither could shoot from 3 point range that efficiently but I guess that's what it became
