That's the same argument that people tried to make when saying LeBron wouldn't be able to put up the same numbers in the West as he did in the East due to competition increasing, and yet here he is.Toppin is fabulous. Not arguing that point at all. Where he is going in the NBA draft should never be a factor in college recognition. I'm biased and admit it. I just think when it's that close that the level of competition that it was done against should be considered. We'll never know but maybe Toppin would put up similar numbers in the BIG 10. I'd be willing to bet that Garza would probably have put up even bigger numbers in Toppins conference.
And me bringing Toppin up as a lottery pick shouldn't hurt his case since you're using his conference against him. Obi's obviously good enough to be taken very highly in a league where the world's best basketball players play. Wouldn't that mean that they believe his game transitions with the competition increase?
