The Expanse on Amazon

Welp, doesn't look like Miller fares well during the preview of the next episode, although I suspect we will still see a version of him in future episodes. Holden at least is getting better at making decisions, something he was lacking at the beginning of season 1. Good development of most characters...hopefully the show is getting enough good reviews to keep going.

My favorite show right now. Season 2 has been great.

And man, the realistic depiction of both space travel/living in a SyFy show is awesome. Not to mention the realistic depiction of humanity.

Agreed...making space travel look easy like Star Trek is a fantasy. Space is harsh, unyielding, and constantly trying to kill you. Think of how much effort is needed to simply keep a handful of people alive on the international space station...now think about supporting 100,000 people on an asteroid or moon...eye opening.

That being said, the Expanse is quality entertainment.

Been out of the country and catching up on two missed episodes. Hot damn, I do love me some quality scifi on TV.

Latest episode was terrific. I have a suspicion that Miller may not entirely be done. Also, don't piss off the security officer...;)

It's pronounced "Mill-la" per Niomi.

So many great characters with actual depth. Atypical TV for sure without all of the usual cardboard characters. It's great TV, not just great scifi.

Episode was great...definitely the top show right now on SyFy. Looks like a little hunting party on Ganymede. Hope it turns out better than it did on Aliens.

These characters are growing on me. Interesting that a space drama has 10x the character depth and development as the old school network tripe that is rolled out every evening. Well, that and the actors are also 10x as good. Steven Strait is the weak link, he has kinda sucked.

I am bummed that Naomi and Amos seem to be splitting off from the party...hopefully they will be forced back together. I do agree on Strait...although he could be playing in character as the Holden character is certainly the most "unwilling to command" person out there. He is getting stronger, but still flawed. My favorite is Alex...guy is just a bit out there, but damn, he is becoming one phenomenal pilot.

Tonight's episode was "wow" level.

Bobbie got to kick some bad boss ass. The beast is on the loose on Ganymede. Alex goes all pilot ace. Avasarala agrees to meet with the devil.

Agree this was an amazing episode! This season has been great. Best Sci Fi show since BSG

Hey Boxster, looks like the bug hunt was successful...not sure who won yet. Another outstanding episode...where can I pick up something like the Rocinante? And Holden grows a spine...that's different.

Judging from the previews, looks like a protomolocule person made it on board.
Yeah, right at the end of last night's episode you see a window into the Rocinante along with an image of what looks to be a proto dude (or dudette) accompanied by some ominous music. The previews give it away...

I was thinking all along that protothingy had hopped on the ship and that last shot was like 95% confirmation (I assume if we replay and look we will see it). Would have been cooler if they hadn't gone 100% in the preview. Although, now we can wonder all week how they deal with it and if it's Plant Guys kid. I think Plant Guy still has daughter little girl backpack. We'll see if protothingy reacts to that. Or just rips him up.

Ha, and I thought Errinwright was going to off himself. Well, I think everyone did. And, nope! Talk about misdirection with the note and poison vial.

Pretty good synopsis here:

I do agree on the 100% preview...makes the next episode a bit anticlimactic, but still, looking forward to how it plays out. Nice reversal with the Mars marine too...but just how far will she go if they run into some other Martian types? The series has just the right amount of story lines going on...you don't feel lost whenever the episode jumps around to one of the characters.
