The hundreds of students at the basketball game thought it was dumb. I was one of them.
There were about 10 doing it on the nonband side. So not the vast majority. I'm not trying to argue. Just letting you know.
Kidding... seeing from the upper deck EASILY only about 10% of the kids were doing it. No doubt about that.
The chants only further the stereotype of band people....Which i find not the least bit surprising that it continues...

Honestly, I just thought the Cowbell chant was poorly timed. We were down and there wasn't a lot of energy in the student section after the timeout was called.
If i'm not mistaken, it will be continued to be played at that third timeout.
A lot of the "extra" stuff we are doing like the cowbell cheer is something that cyclone fanatic and others called for. It's not completely in control of the band so it really does not good to get ****** at the band for doing stuff that we have no control over.

You have no control over chanting stupid things during free throws? Because that's what I think is stupid.
Well that's just going to happen. Simple solution is for the rest of the students to get into the game and be loud and it won't be a problem at all.
you are right,the student section should sing Spongebob Squarepants and call me maybe during the game. That'll distract them Jaguars!
