I've already watched it several times this morning. It is pretty obvious that they are not going to be hiding who the enemies are in the trailers.
This will be the biggest movie ever.
I agree for the most part. I see no way that this movie doesn't own every opening weekend record, but I'm not sure it will have a wide enough audience (women) to become the biggest of all time.
No way this passes HP and Dark Knight. I bet it doesnt even get to Titanic status opening weekend. It looks pretty awesome, but I just dont see it happening.

Um no.
Dark Knight Rises comes out next summer.
marvel films have been pretty underwhelming.

I agree with this.
I would have to think that the 2012 Comicbook movie box office predictions would have to look something like this:
1. Dark Knight Rises - this is the movie that will most likely shatter opening weekend numbers and could finish in the Top 10 in all-time earnings
2. The Avengers - looks great, but with the amount of star-power involved with the cast the story could lose focus by trying to make sure each character gets an equal share of screen-time (ex. Iron Man 2, with Iron Man, War Machine and Black Widow)
3. Men in Black 3 - these movies always do well and this could even pass Avengers in earnings; much more "family-friendly" than The Avengers
4. The Amazing Spider-Man - a lot of question marks; can the director handle this project? Is the audience ready for a reboot when the first Spider-Man only came out 10 years ago?
5. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - it comes out in February, I'm guessing it will do decent at the Box Office - definitely won't finish anywhere near the 4 movies I mentioned above
6. Dredd (Judge Dredd remake) - I AM THE LAW! Does anyone other than myself want to see this??
Did I miss any other comic movies?
I know Will Smith basically prints his own money at the box office, but I don't see MIB3 doing well at all. MIB2 sucked out loud and those movies are over a decade old, aren't they?
