Tech fan here. I was surprised to see a 16 point line; I figured it'd be around 9-10. I typically do not ever put any money on a Tech game ever for any reason...but this one might be worth a few bucks; if nothing else betting on ISU sets up a nice emotional hedge. Paul Rhoads is a great coach and will have them ready to play, this much we know for sure. There is no shortage of motivation for the Cyclones, and we're in one of those awkward-but-in-a-good-way parts of the season. We're ranked and undefeated, but we haven't played anyone and our QB play has been very up and down. Add in a new coaching staff still finding its groove - this game should be a fight. Luckily, Kliff has talked about not taking any games lightly and even said something along the lines of "we aren't good enough to look ahead."
If anyone is interested, we can start a "we got boned by UT's refs" support group and hug it out - we've been there all too often ourselves. Safe travels to anyone heading to Lubbock!

Tech is a good team. Why the need to bash an opponent? If we win, it's a good win. If we lose it's not a bad lose. Why try to make them less?
I agree with the first part about SOS although neither schedule has been challenging. I'm a Sagarin fan. I disagree with KU beating WV and Sagarin agrees.
Steele Jantz handed you that game, litterlly on one play he dropped the ball for you without any around him, I commend you on taking advantage of the opportunities.

Nothing against Texas Tech, but playing Kansas on the road isn't exactly a hostile environment.
Tech was emptying the bench in the 3rd quarter and could have easily run up the score too. Both KU and WVU are a mess, but I think KU can give them a game.
Completely agree. I think WV wins but the game will be ugly and might cause temporary blindness in the elderly.

Also, it may cause permanent eye and brain damage to the younger people. I'm not watching that train wreck.
Is it bashing TT to say they've played terrible teams so far or are we just trying to figure out how good they actually are?
You can say their SOS is bad but they've taken care of business. No one knows for sure if they're a really good team or just a solid team. What's the harm in saying they're a good team? If we win, we beat a good team. If we lose we lost to a good team. We'll know more after Saturday.
if that's the case then we should just wait until the season is over to get the whole picture. Then we can talk about this game.
If you think they are a good team I would ask you why you think that. Their resume only shows they aren't a very bad team. Sorry but I'm going to call a spade a spade. I don't really care if the TT fans don't have thick enough skin for that.
What makes you think Kansas can beat anybody? The are the absolute worst AQ team by far.
I'm calling them a good team because I want to feel better about the win on Saturday. I want a win over a good team.

How much do you stand to win off of that? Not a terrible bet but not exactly safe haha.
I think he said around 600. I was originally just gonna cash out the 100 and bet the 60.
You could always hedge your bet too.
Although betting ISU straight up probably complicates things.
