Texas Charging Tech's Band For Tickets

The UNI band was huge and took up much of their allotment. They cost someone a ton, whether they had to buy the tickets or ISU ate the cost.

Yeah, I would assume UNI paid for tickets because that is a lot of revenue to give up and those seats would have been filled. We don't have a return game, so there is nothing reciprocal.

The only thing I can think of is that it is negotiated (less) into the amount we end up paying them for the game.

If Texas doens't do well in Football this year, there could be some massive changes to the AD and football staff at years end.

Can someone explain why the visitor team even gets to bring their band? That's a lot of seats filled by a group that makes a lot if noise. Ban them all.

We never send our band anywhere so I wouldn't be surprised if we always charge for opposing teams' bands. Really I think the only time we ever send our band is to Iowa and bowl games.

This is not true proof.

UT is in a world of hurt these days caused mostly by their own arrogance. They ran off Nebraska. aTm found a way out. Then Missouri thought they were being screwed and left as well. And all about/over Texas money, LHN, revenue sharing, etc.

Obviously, it takes more than money to succeed in college athletics or Harvard and Yale would be dominating today as they once did. So, it's fun to watch them - flush in dough - unraveling. I feel no sorrow for Horn fan.

Strong was, most likely, a bad hire. Live with it.

Our band used to (and may still) go to the Iowa game and one other road game. Some of us don't know about traveling with the band to bowl games (see years 1993-1997). I do know that our alumni band has to pay for tickets for the Homecoming game, as in each individual person has to buy a ticket to play/sit at the game.

UT will never be in a world of hurt despite their arrogance. I think this is only a story because so many UT fans have acquired a dislike for Patterson (which he deserves).

But understand, if things go bad they go bad for ISU and KSU, not UT.

UNI had a fee of $350k. For as many band members they brought, I do not think we charged them much if any.

Thanks, I was thinking there was also a recent trip to KSU, but I couldn't remember for sure. You know, if you look closely at this formation, it sort of looks like a...... never mind.
