This game looks winnable to me. Tough, but winnable. Their offense hasn't been setting the world on fire. Need to find a way to put three touchdowns or more on the board, and if we do, I think we're back on track.

I don't think TCU will score much, mayb 20-24 points. But again, this is a Big 12 game, to win you have to score 30 points at least. I am extremely worried abou their defensive speed. Unless there is a total turnaround they are going to manhandle our offensive line and press our wide receivers into submisson and Jantz or whoever the QB is will be running for their lives again. The book is out on ISU now. Defensive front 4 can control the line, press coverage....and they have no answer to it. Lot of things need to be ironed out in a few days.

We are going to learn a lot about mess next week. Will he make adjustments or do we do the same thing we did last night.
TCU defense is good and they are going to probably stack the box all day on us. Their defense is probably even better than Tech's. We will probably hold their offense to 17 or so, but I'm not very confident about putting points on the board.
You guys will definitely put up more than 6 pts of O against tcu. Good luck next week I think you should be able to take them.
To get to 10, you must assume a defensive TD, a safety and we go for two and actually make it?
I think we need to do it any way that we can, if that means plays on defense or special teams that give the offense a short field. Obviously the offense has to be at least good, but doesn't have to be spectacular.
Why do you say definitely? Our offense has yet to put up more that 9 against BCS schools. I know it has only been 2 games but still. Also, I saw where TCU is #2 in the nation for points against.

I've watched TCU a couple games and they are definitely beatable. Tech is a better team from what I've seen.

This. However, I think we will learn A LOT about ISU next week, not just Mess. TCU is probably the most overrated team in the Top 25. This game could not come at a better time where ISU needs to gain some confidence.
TCU is giving up almost 100 more yards per game than Texas Tech, and TCU has a worse sagarin SOS than Tech.
At some point I think TCU gets exhausted by the schedule upgrade and finishes even or below Tech. WVU is going to lose a couple for the same reason even though I believe in their talent, but I don't see them finishing worse than 3rd or 4th.
Having them @TCU early on, ISU won't get the benefit of any "wake up call" their likely to get later in the season especially on the road.

TCU has issues.. as do we. They will be fired up to play in their first big 12 home game.
