We could go 4-8 - Frog Fan Forum - Killer Frogs

I know that GP said the team was young and we were 2 years away, but our Offense is getting worse every game! Don't hand me rain!

We can't block and we can't execute, and we can't run!
Why we continue to call running plays for Pawhall is beyond me. He is NOTa dual threat QB!!! Maybe the eye black is blurring his vision!

Dean runs like he is looking for a place to fall down, instead of just running eyes up!

Can't open any holes against mediocre team defenses. We are going to get drilled by 4-5 teams this year, maybe starting next week.
Our offense is terrible.

These teams are much more similar than I would have guessed before the season. But we've got all week to figure out who will prevail on Saturday.
Regarding a more urgent issue ... Frog's don't really have horns, do they? Or is the TCU mascot a mythical critter?

Also important, we hear about the mythical hotties of TCU as well, need more research and game day photos from cyclone fans who go. :)

TCU looks to have at times, see Kansas game, the same turnover problems we do. After seeing our defense this past weekend, I think we should be able to hold them to <21 points. So defensively, I'm not all that concerned.

Unfortunately, TCU has one of the better defenses in the league which will not bode well for ISU. Granted, they have not faced an opponent as of yet that has a power offense, but all signs indicate that they have what it takes to stop us just like Tech did.

So far I would say one of our biggest keys to winning this game is about moving the ball. Since I feel we can hold their offense to <21, we don't have to score every time we have the ball, but what we do need to do is control the ball and move it down the field to at least give our defense a rest. Similar to the Iowa game, our defense kept us in it, but since our offense was at least able to move the ball and give our defense a break, the defense had enough energy at the end to put the nail in the coffin.

If we can do that, we have a good chance in this. I can't imagine we lay another egg offensively like we did against Tech. I don't see us scoring over 30 points, but that's ok, our defense is good enough we don't have to.

I think if we can get more than 20 points we'll win this game, especially if they come off of extended drives. Our defense will shut them down as long as they aren't on the field all afternoon. Our offense just has to not screw up too badly. Offensive line play by ISU will determine this game. Can they actually block people this week?

That really needs to be the motto of our offense right now "Don't **** up, in Wally we trust."

This should be a close game and I expect us to compete and have a chance to win. Whatever the O/U is (haven't seen one yet) TAKE THE UNDER!

To get to 10, you must assume a defensive TD, a safety and we go for two and actually make it?

Assuming a successful 2-point conversion is assuming a lot. What I think the most likely way for us to get to 10 is 5 safeties, especially with the Kirby punts it.

TCU is giving up almost 100 more yards per game than Texas Tech, and TCU has a worse sagarin SOS than Tech.

TCU is only giving up 7.2 points per game and also Grambling State, SMU, Virginia >>>>> Northwestern State, Texas State, New Mexico. There isn't really any way you can say that TCU doesn't have a very sound defense. It's not going to be easy moving the ball on them.

Since we are Iowa State and have a ****** offense TCU will probably have the best game of their big twelve lives this year and blow us a new one. Or we win 6-0 the defense scores yet another TD and Arceo blows a pat.

I said before the season that there were no definite L's on the schedule. I'm hoping the TT game was the swift boot to the rear, not the indication of the season.
