Talked to Brackins -- will decide within days

if he comes back, i hope it is to win and not brush up on his NBA game like he did this season. If he comes back, he needs to get his butt in the paint and be a force inside - like his sophmore season. Way too many 3 pt shots and 17 ft jumpers that looked horrible.

if he goes to the NBA, thanks for coming back and trying to make it work this year!

CB, you've earned the right to make the best decision for you and to have the full support of Cyclone fans in whatever you do. Sorry in advance for those that won't respect your decision, either way.

Oh brother.

I'm thinking he stays. If he were gone, I think he'd know by now. If he's truly undecided, I think there's a good chance he comes back.

What posistion will Brackins play in the NBA? Why will CB be successful in the NBA? Assuming he gets drafted or signed as a free agent. I think I have a decent understanding of the NBA and cannot answer either of these questions.

He's Back...damnit my optimism for next year just flared up again, I thought I had all that under control.

He's a 4. Same body type as KG. KG is not a great post defender. He rebounds well and blocks shots. Not a lot of PF's left in the NBA. CB being 6'10 helps him as does his ability to shoot the 3. Strength is an issue right now, but that can change. He is not a 3 and not a 5. That was evident this year. The NBA has moved to the Dirk Nowitzki type 4's, which gives CB a chance...if not...he will make plenty of money in Europe.

Gone. Regardless of how this season went he was gone after this year. I don't understand all the speculation.

did you see him try to box out pittman? he's definitely leaving

That would be as big of a reason for him to stay as it would be for him to leave. He shot 20% from 3, and about 38% from the field this season, and got outmanned in the post. He's going to have to find out what position he wants to be at the next level and really focus on it. He's a tweener right now, and I don't know if the NBDL is the place to figure that stuff out. Although he loses a year, I think he would still be best served packing on some more muscle/bulk and to work with Greg hardcore all off-season on post moves, and interior defense.

Either way, I wish him best, and I know that he'll make the right decision for himself and his family. And I thank him for coming back for the team this past season. No matter what he decides, he will always be a Cyclone to me...

Re: that one rebound by Pittman over Brackins

as Brackins had him box out very good but he did not get the rebound

that alone should tell Brackins that he is not ready for the NBA and needs to toughen up to play in the NBA

This all may be true but another year with this staff isn't going to get him ready either, that's been obvious watching them all year. He'd have been better off going last year, and I appreciate why he came back, to improve in those areas of rebound, strength and speed. Do you think Kevin Durant would have been better off coming back to college to get stronger and learn the game more? No way, when you have the size and potential you strike while the iron is hot and get paid.

Durant also averaged 26 points, 11 rebounds, and shot 40% from 3. He was easily NBA ready, and a pretty clear #1 or #2 pick. I think that Brackins is a certain 1st round pick, but his decrease in rebounds and 20% 3 point percentage are not helping him...

DG would never get him the ball after he worked hard to get posistion. So he just gave up and took jumpers.

Will you tell me one game where Craig "worked hard" for an entire game to get position from this season? No you won't, because there isn't one.
