Switzerland Trip

Went skiing in Crans-Montana about 20 years ago. Just an incredible place. Near the top of my list of favorite places. I need to see more of Switzerland.

I took that picture on a work trip. I was traveling with one of my wife’s friends. I sent her a text telling her I took Amber to the ass bar and about 5 minutes later sent that picture. My wife wasn’t amused for some reason.

I like to suggest to my wife that we take a trip then send her a link to the destination:

Pound Town

Get ready to pay out of your ass. Was in Lausanne in 2010 and it was $25 for a sandwich and beer. Can’t imagine what it is now.

My company is headquartered in Lausanne. Hearing this, and knowing what I get paid, and what my colleagues over there get paid, makes me really feel for them then

Went to Switzerland in August and it was incredible. Absolutely beautiful and lots to do. We went to Zurich, Interlaken, Lucerne, and a couple other towns.

Went in the summer of 2015, and I second the posters who suggested Lucerne and Wengen. Really enjoyed Lucerne, the wooden bridge across the river is great and that entire part of town has a cool medieval feel to it, in a good way. Took the train from Wengen to the top of the Jungfrau, walked around up there and then got off the train half way back down and did some more light hiking with the Jungfrau and Eiger towering above.

If you can make it to Murren and spend a night there, highly recommend. Town is only accessible by cable car. Unreal views.

Gimme Wald is one of my favorite places on the planet! Definitely worth the trip. Astounding views, amazing people, and off the beaten path enough that it's not too busy.

Yeah, I went to Interlaken and then bus/gondola to Gimmewald. At least I think that was the same place. It was flat out amazing. Don't know if I'd go in the winter, as I wouldn't think the scenery would be as good. But during the summer, the scenery is just jaw dropping. I can't imagine many more scenic places or places I'd want to visit than the northern Italy/Switzerland/Austria area. I'd take that over a beach any day of the week.

I would recommend getting Rick Steve's book on Switzerland. I used it when I visited and it was great. Murren, Interlaken, and Lucerne were great. Trümmelbach Falls is amazing!
