Any international travelers on here that have been to Switzerland in Winter? If so, any recommendations? Looking at going in February with the wife. Tentatively thinking Zurich, St. Mortiz and Zermatt. Looking for advice or suggested activities!

I did back in 6th grade for spring break. Couple things. If it’s winter time, definitely go skiing. Visit the Matterhorn. Sorry, will provide a little more, but gotta go.
Never been there before but I hear their flag is a big plus
Gimme Wald is one of my favorite places on the planet! Definitely worth the trip. Astounding views, amazing people, and off the beaten path enough that it's not too busy.
Wengen. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Ski resort town in the Alps. Have to take a train to get there. No automobiles.

Only been there for a cup of coffee. Literally. Flew into Basel for start of Rhine River cruise. High water kept boat downstream so we had a little walking tour before busing to the boat. Didn't have Swiss francs (hell we were only there for a couple of hours) so some nice retired dentists from Canada bought me a cappuccino. Needed that java, long day, drive from Quads to Chicago, flew to Amsterdam, caught plane to Basel, did city walkabout. Bought them drinks a bar later in the trip.

If travelling in Winter, take trains everywhere. Do NOT bother with an automobile, as the roads are very, very narrow.
Everything is very, very, expensive.
The Interlaken area is incredible, and Luzerne is wonderful. Smaller areas are more fun than big cities, but do hit the art museums if possible.
2nd only to Norway in natural beauty.

I spent a couple days in Zurich in February 2019. Trains are your best friend for sure. Lots to see in Zurich and Lucerne is worth the hour train ride. A couple things that caught me off guard though were they don’t use Euros there and almost everything is closed on Sunday’s. I’ve been all over Europe and if I had to pick a country to move to it would be Switzerland.

St. Moritz is a very swanky winter destination - I assume you have the coin for that. All of Switzerland is pricey, of course (Banhofstrasse in Zurich has the most expensive retail in the country).
I agree with the comments about using the trains. SwissRail is incredible and cities are pedestrian-friendly once you get there.
Zurich is a very civilized place. There are some restaurants along the river in guild buildings that go back to the 1300s(ish). You can get some good (potato) rosti in those old, traditional restaurants.
I once had the chance to have a fondue dinner with friends, in the snowy mountains at a rustic old restaurant with a warm fireplace kicking out heat. That was in the late 1990s and I still remember that meal. I hope you can find something memorable.
The train ride along Lake Geneva is beautiful at any time of the year.

I took that picture on a work trip. I was traveling with one of my wife’s friends. I sent her a text telling her I took Amber to the ass bar and about 5 minutes later sent that picture. My wife wasn’t amused for some reason.
