Super Bowl Chip Dip?

Reuben dip would be up there for me. Various versions you can find. Awesome taste, but does give off a strong aroma in the kitchen.

My mom has made a taco plate thing. I think its a packet of taco seasoning mixed with cream cheese or sour cream and spread out over a serving plate, then you top it with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, taco meat, put it in the fridge for a couple hours, then eat. Its awesome with Doritos, crackers...

anyone had this thing?

Here's my standard 7-layer dip that everyone usually raves about:

1 16-oz can refried beans
1 package cream cheese
16-oz sour cream
1 package taco seasoning (or 2, if you prefer)
1 tub Dean's Guacamole Dip
1 bottle salsa (spiced to personal taste - most are fine w/ Medium)
1 can Ro-Tel
1 6-oz can black olives
1 package shredded cheese (cheddar works, taco/mexican does too)

Soften cream cheese
Mix beans and 1/2 (or 1) package taco seasoning. Spread on the bottom of a glass dish.
Dollop Guac dip on top of beans and spread out.
Blend cream cheese, sour cream, and other half (or other packet of) taco seasoning until smooth. Spread on top of guac dip.
Spread salsa over guac dip
Sprinkle Ro-tel over salsa
Repeat with cheese and olives.

ALTERNATIVES: Works well with cooked ground beef as a layer or with the beans. Some people like to add green onions, green peppers, or lettuce. However, lettuce can turn brown.

All these recipies sound great, but here is our favorite - easy and delicious!

Softened and spread one 8oz. cream cheese in glass baking dish, cover with one 15 oz. can Hormel Chili (beans or no-bean), top with salsa of your choice (as much as desired), cover with shredded cheese and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Another favorite, with Fritos

1 bottle of Franks Red hot sauce
1 bottle of ranch dressing
1 package of shredded chees
2 packages of cream cheese
1-2 large cans of chicken

Mix all but the cheese together in a crock pot and add the cheese just before serving...
Just wanted to add something. This is called chicken lip dip, its originally from Burlington, Iowa. I think it started at a local restaurant called martini's, not sure about that, Just know its from Burlington, and that me and my family have loved it for years. Do have to agree not always fun the next morning especially with half a case of beer.

Crockpot refried bean dip:

2 cans refried beans...I like La Preferida refried beans with chorizo (sausage) in it
add one lb cooked crumbled spicy sausage
one 16 oz bottle Pace HOT picante sauce red label
top with jalepeno sliced peppers
Keep warm in crockpot and serve

Here's a really good crock-pot recipe:

Chicken Enchilada Dip
8oz cream cheese
8oz sour cream
4-6 oz hot pepper jack cheese
4-6 oz velveeta cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can green chilis (small can)
1 green pepper (optional)
1 onion to taste (I use about ¾ cup)
1 large can chicken breast
Put all ingredients in crock pot, put pepper jack cheese in first, then velveeta, then dump everything else on top. Once everything starts melting mix it up and then let it cook until its all melted and warm!

In the directions it says don't add cheese until right before serving - cream cheese or shredded cheese?

Best one by far, we make it every tailgate and superbowl party. We don't put the salsa on top however, just cream cheese, hormel no bean chili and shredded taco cheese.. Bake and Shamwow.. friggin delicious and super simple
